"Well that must of hurt." Ruelle muttered, looking at an unconscious Gwen who lay fast asleep on the floor. "Arthur! Merlin! I found Gwen." She yelled from Morganas chambers.

The two young men came rushing into the room, Arthur immediately swooped Gwen up off the floor and placed her on Morganas bed, brushing a stray curly lock out of her face and behind her ear causing Ruelle to snicker, which earnt her a jab in the side from Merlin.

"Oi alright!" She chuckled, swatting Merlin away from her before looking at the two. "I'm going to go and look around, maybe i'll find your father or someone who is awake so they can explain what's going on."

Arthur nodded slowly while Merlin gave her a confused stare, but neither of them stopped her from leaving, which she did so quickly giving them a reassuring smile before she disappeared out of sight.

About a half hour had passed when Ruelle came rushing into Gaius's and Merlin's chambers with bad news.

"Merlin come quickly!" The warlock jumped before speeding off after the red head.

The trio stood behind some turrets out of sight from any potential on lookers, looking out at eight cloaked figures riding swiftly towards the castle.

"According to the legend, there are only seven knights of Medhir." Merlin stated, out of breath and glaring at the on coming knights.

"So they brought along a extra rider as a gift, how charming." Ruelle muttered distastefully, side glancing the white knight that rode up front.

"Ruelle—" Merlin sighed getting a shrug from the girl, while Arthur just shook his head in disbelief at the pair.

"Then who is the extra rider? And neither of you should answer 'a gift.'" Arthur asked trying to direct the conversation towards the problem at hand.

"I don't know, but Camelot is defenceless."

"We have to get back to my father and Morgana." Arthur said turning around to run back inside, Merlin and Ruelle hot on his tail.

"Oh so you found him then." Ruelle said with a little smirk looking at Merlin before casting her eyes back to the floor so she didn't fall over.

Merlin let out a chuckle, before nearly tripping over causing Ruelle to laugh at the boy.

"Have a nice trip?" She quipped, even making Arthur laugh as he ran ahead. Merlin flushed, clearly embarrassed by nearly falling flat on his arse.

"You both shouldn't be laughing there are immortal beings heading our way!" Merlin said spluttering.

"All of the more reason to laugh considering we could be dead soon." Ruelle shrugged as they slowed down into a fast walk into the kings chambers.

"How very optimistic of you Ruelle." Arthur breathed out, sarcasm dripping from every word, earning a cheeky 'thank you' from the girl.

When they got back to the chamber Uther was unconscious in, Arthur instructed everyone to grab a limb to get the king to a safer hiding spot.
