“He ran off.”

“W-what do you mean ‘ran off’?” Christina made me look her in the eyes. Her brown eyes were filled with some unidentifiable emotion. Could she be worried?

“He got out his magic wand and conjured a magical unicorn to take him away,” I replied, sarcastically. She sighed, clearly annoyed. This was not the time for sarcasm. I rolled my eyes, “He got angry when I asked him what was wrong, slapped me across the face, and ran off.”

“Why didn’t you go after him?!” She cried, clinging onto my arm even tighter.

“If I knew where the hell he went, then I would’ve,” I defended. Now I was the one getting annoyed by this. I tried to pull away, but she wouldn’t let go. “Come on, there’s no use waiting here now.”

“I guess you’re right,” She sighed. “Sorry for snapping at you. I know you tried.”

“And looked like a lunatic doing it,” I added, chuckling. “The whole theatre must’ve seen me tripping up the aisle.”

“I’ll just find Ivan and…” Her voice trailed off.

I looked away, over the crowd of people all trying to fit through the entrance at once. I smirked. Such smart people they are. But, it is hot in here, I thought. How are we going to get out? There must be a back way or something.

Christina gasped, waking me from my thoughts. I looked back at her to see Ivan standing behind her, covering her eyes with his hands.

“Yonda~?” Ivan titled his head, smiling cheerfully.

“Oh, Ivan! I was just going to find you to tell you that we’re leaving.” Christina pointed towards me, “This is Hanna!”

Ivan waved, smiling at me. This guy never stops smiling, does he? I thought to myself. It must feel nice to be happy all the time. I waved back, managing a small smile. He tilted his head to the other side, frowning at Christina; it was like he was pouting, almost. “Aww, Sunflower, why don’t you both stay and become one with Ivan, da?”

I busted out laughing as Christina’s face went bright red. “W-what?!” She cried.

“Kidding, kidding,” He dismissed the topic, chuckling softly. He glanced at the front entrance, which was still crowded with people. “Come with me, you can go out the back way.”

He lead us behind the stage to the heavy metal double doors leading to outside. He turned to look at me. “It was very nice meeting you, Hanna~, any friend of Christina’s is a friend of mine.”

Christina moved in to hug him, and Ivan kissed her forehead. She wasn’t fazed by it at all. Good thing Arthur wasn’t there to see that, I thought, biting my lip. When they broke apart, she insisted that I hugged him too. “He loves getting hugs,” She explained. I shrugged, why not? I hugged him goodbye and he kissed me on the forehead too.

We stepped outside, waving goodbye to him one last time. It was dark in the little back-alley. The only light was a single, yet random, streetlight. There a chilly breeze, so I pulled my hood up over my head. Christina and I walked in silence through the back-alleyways to her apartment.
