Chapter VIII: Death Anniversary

We are still in the car, I looked at William he is still focused on the road and I looked behind me Natalie and Roseline talking to each other. I putted my headphones and listen to the latest podcast I saved last night. I keep listening to the podcast I didn't even heard or even feel the car stopped. I just realized it when William tapped my shoulder and signed to me to removed my headphones so I did it. I realized that Natalie and Roseline is no longer in the car they are already inside his house. I looked at William again who seems nervous on what he will say to me. He let out a sigh and closed his eyes, I even saw he was shaking a little what's happening?. Why he was nervous?, Did I scare him?. So many questions running inside my head I even imagine what he will tell or do with me.

I just raised my eyebrows at him like a cool girl I am.

"I li-- wait wait that's not what I meant. I mean I love you can I ask you out?"

He leaned forward and rubbed his nose against me. I blushed of course who in the right mind will going to asked someone like me. It doesn't make any sense. He tilted his head and attached his lips against mine.

He even winked at me what in the name of kami was that. This is not William I know. This is the William inside my imagination. Ohh right I'm imagining things again.

"Sophia?" He waved his hand in front of my face.

I snapped out in reality when he snap his finger beside my ear. And after that I looked at my surroundings and I'm still inside his car. Natalie and Roseline is not around I pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming. It hurts so it's a good sign right?.

"You zoned out, I will repeat my question"

I just nodded my head and mentally facepalm myself. I embarrassed myself infront of my crush that's freaking stupid. Get yourself together Sophia. You have one job listen to his question.

"Are you with me?" He signed to me.

"Yes I am, what is your question earlier?" I signed back to him.

He smiled awkwardly while scratching his nape.

"Can I ask you on a date?" He said nervously

My eyes widened because of his question. Did I heard him right?, He was asking me out?, For real?. Am I not dreaming?. I pinched myself again to check if this is not a dream. It hurts so this is not a dream after all. I smiled at him awkwardly and put my hands on my forehead. I looked at him again he was patiently waiting for my answer. This is incredibly bad, this is very bad, my brother will kill me. I zoned out again and this is not about William it's about my brother.
