Dear Hayati,

Remember those late night talks where we discussed the gender of our baby, twirling the strands of your hair as you played with my hair while we watched the stars chattering among themselves.

I still remember telling you that I want our first child to be a girl child. That day you never asked the reason but I assume you thought that because girl babies are cute. Nah, that's ain't the reason.

You see, girls child shows love to their parents more than a boy can do. Like the boy is shy to express his love to parents, from my experience I am saying though. I never showed love to my parents because I was shy. I remembered our family saying that we need to have a boy child because is future boys will look after us, not the girls because they would be busy with their new family.

I detest their thinking. Like what even? Girl can also take care of her family. Not necessary that boys will look after us in future. Who knows what if the boys don't look after us. But again we are talking about society. They don't have other work but gossip about others misery. Like look in your house first. There are piles of problem lying there and then you come and taunt us.

Imagine a society which never gossip and mind their own buisness. Alas we could only imagine as it would not happen ever.

Oh, the parcel had arrived so take care.

Yours Truly

Waleed.
