Y/n POV :

I waited for Taehyung and Jimin to walk into the dining room. I needed a moment to breath and prepare myself. I felt my leg shake as I took the first step in. My eyes grew at the sight of four sets of parents and siblings that I had never before seen.

Everyone's eyes were on me as Jungkook stood up with a fake smile walking my way.
"Y/n you're here!"
He leaned in and kissed my cheek lightly for a moment earning warming smiles from the people in the room.
He took my hand and led me to the seat he had saved for me next to him.

I sat down while trying to look smart and elegant. Some girl who looked similar to Jimin yelled loudly,"Okay the pretty girl is here now. Can we eat?"
I assumed that was Jimin's sister he was always talking about.

Her mother gently tapped her hand and gritted her teeth,"Manners darling."

Everyone began to put food in for themselves and dig in. There was so much food on the table, stuff I hadn't tried before and I just felt overwhelmed. Jungkook made a dish for me and placed it in front of me. He looked down at me and shrugged,"Just eat this. I think you'll like it."

I didn't give any reaction and began eating. He was right. It was really good, and I genuinely couldn't get enough of it.
He turned around once more and looked me up and down. He leaned in and whispered over everyone's chatter,"You look nice. Thanks for coming."
I didn't expect that from him, but what caught me off guard was the sweet smile plastered all over his face when I looked at him.
I just nodded and slightly smiled back,"It's okay."

We kept eating and all I did was observe everyone. All the kids mostly sat on one side of the large table, while the couples sat on the other side. They all were dressed so smart and formally, that it was hard to imagine they were even casual friends. Every few minutes I'd catch Jungkook's parents staring at me, with a look of disapproval.
The joke was on them, it wasn't like I adored their son anyways.

Taehyung would make sure to look my way every few minutes with a comforting smile. That helped to keep me calm through out.
Jimin was constantly fighting with the other kids over little things. His mother even slapped the back of his head jokingly when he kept spacing out like he said he would. Really, Jimin was the only source of entertainment there.

What surprised me the most was Han's parents. They were nothing like him. Han was almost always sulking around, moody and I had never seen him once smile or show any interest in anything. He seemed so depressed that it made me feel so off every time I had to look at him.
However, his parents were the complete opposite. They also didn't fit the business type. They genuinely smiled and even offered me sweet grins. They made appropriately funny jokes and messed about. It was a relaxing sight in the least. So if anything, I became extremely confused as to why Han was like the way he was.
