"Why are you running away, lady? Don't you wanna hear grandma's stories?"

When I look at the time, I realize I was running away from her for straight five minutes already. She keep calling me with her creepy hoarse voice and I can't stand it.

She is floating in the air while chasing me. Nakataas ang mga braso sa ere habang isinasayaw ng hangin ang nakalutang na buhok. Oh, and her clothes are long and old. Mabilis ako pero nakakahabol pa rin ito. Creepy old woman.

"Can't you stop chasing me?! I'm on a mission!"

"What mission? Stealing?"

Tumigil ako at hinarap siya. Ikinuyom ko ang mga kamao. "What would I be stealing? Your boogers?"

She stopped, too. "I don't have boogers." Oh, really?

"Whoever you are, I am not here to hurt you. I am only here to save the Luna flowers. And I don't have much time. Please, can you stop chasing me? I'm through with lots of creatures in my way and I am little bit tired. But I have to move on. I cannot stop. I cannot." Sunud-sunod kong sambit.

Hingal na hingal ako. She stayed silent, looking at me with those empty eyes. Mariin akong tumitig sa mga 'yon.

"Someone like you will never stop me. I am Alexa Rosana, I help people. And if I have to fight you to move on, then I will."

I curled my fingers in front of her. My jaw clenched and I revealed my fangs. I growled louder. Kumurap-kurap siya sa akin. Not to mention she doesn't have eyelashes.

Kumunot ang noo ko nang tumapak siya sa lupa and her hair went down. Napapanganga ko siyang tiningnan. Nailagay ko ang kamay sa beywang.

"Puwede ka naman pala ganiyan. You look scarier when you floats. Tss!"

"It would be too tiring if I run like you."

I scoffed. Eh 'di ikaw na ang nakakalipad.

"Okay. Aalis na ako."

"Wait!" she called when I am walking away.

"What? You will chase me again with your floating body? No can do, grandma!"

"Where are you going?"

Hmm? Her voice is not hoarse anymore.

"To the cave of wonders?" I answered sarcastically, tsk! "I am going to the cave where it has its own weather, okay?! And ask Amalope to get one of her resins for the ingredients of the magical fluid and heal the Luna flowers! I want Kristy's child to grow up like normal vampires. Not just for her baby, but all of the vampire babies! I don't want them to grow up with the new normal!" I gestured my index and middle fingers like they are pulling something in the air by curling when I said new normal.

I looked at her and found her following me, not floating anymore, with her head tilting on the other side and lips in 'O' form. Actually, she still looks terrifying. Pero mas nakakatakot kanina. Mas nakakatakot rin siya kasi gabing-gabi na. Umaatras akong naglalakad.

"This is my only way to help. I don't have a choice anymore. I got the first ingredient. This is a very strong reason for me to continue. But my problem is, I don't know where I am going. Monkeys stole my map. And flowers stopped me! They got in my way! Kaya ako iniwanan ng balat ng itlog which was my guide to the cave!" Natawa ako sa pinagsasabi ko.

Dahil umaatras akong naglalakad, hindi ko napansin ang malaking bato kaya ako natumba. Napapatitig muna ako sa langit bago ako natumba. I am expecting I would fall on the hard, cold ground. But instead, I felt things wrapped my body as if catching me. Wala sa sarili akong napangiti.
