Chapter 10- A Change In Character

              Zayn's P. O. V.

      All of a sudden, I'm no longer falling... Am I dead? Is this heaven? Why is heaven so dark? I think to myself. The wierd thing is that I didn't even feel any impact. Then again, I did feel something wrap around me. What was that that wrapped around me? I think. As soon as the thing wrapped around me, every patch of skin the thing touched felt like it was instantly set on fire. It's like one moment I'm hurtling toward the ground (a little bit cold too) and the next, I'm slowly falling but, I feel like I've just been set on fire.

          Then, I stop dropping. I start moving downward again but, even slower. Almost like I'm being handled with lots of care.

          I feel me being practically set softly on the hard ground. Then, the thing that was wrapped aroumd my body protectively had slowly unwrapped itself from me. Someone sits next to me like a girl would if they were wearing a skirt or dress. I could hear the loose gravel of the road moving around under their feet. I hear footsteps closing in on me. But, not human footsteps, more like dog or wolf footsteps.

            Harry's P. O. V.

Using my wolf blood hearing, I heard someone or something fall off something really high up... I begin to run, following the sound of the large object falling, at top speed (wolfblood speed or course). Lou and Li heard it too. They run closely behind me.

                Liam's P. O. V.

Lou and I have lost sight of Hazza. So, Lou and I sniff the air. The trail of Harry's sent becomes visible. Lou and I begin running again, top speed - wolfblood speed. We come to the end of the forest, which for years I have thought was an endless world of green and brown. We see this huge building with a pointy thingy at the top. What's it called again? Oh, right! I believe it's called a Skyscraper. I think to myself. Li, I thought you were supposed to be the smart one! Lou shot back, which I totally forgot that wolfbloods can her every single thought of another wolfblood. Damn it! I thought. Hey! Watch your mouth Liam James Payne! Lou's words pounding into my head as my brain contemplated them. Are you my mamma?! I shot back, possibly a little too rudely. "Can you two ladies stop argueing and tell me what you are doing here?" A thick, female Irish accent says. Wait, you can understand us? Lou asks. "Yeah, one of my superpowers is that I can read minds and talk to animals understanding them perfectly fine." She answers. Oh, well, I'm Louis but, you can call me Lou. Lou states. "And you are?" The girl with beautiful, long, curly, blonde hair, her ocean blue hypnotic eyes locked with mine. It looks like he's awstruck. Lou says for me. I quickly glare at him before looking back at the angel infront of me. His name is Liam but, you can call him Li. Harry's deep raspy voice booming in my head making me whimper. I'm Harry or Hazza as most people call me. Harry introducing himself. Harry is lucky, he always gets the girl, I either never get the girl or I end up hurt. "What do you mean?" The beautiful angels voice coes. Shoot, did I say that out loud? "Yea, you kind of did, mate." Her angelic voice sooths.

       "I'm Avery by the way." The stunning girl says. Harry transforms back to his human form. "Avery, beautiful name for a beautiful girl." He says. Jealousy take over my body. I growl to show Harry who's top dog. He growls back, his eyes turning from their usual emerald green to a yellow colour that still creeps me out. I growl again, louder this time. I feel my eyes changing from their usual brown to a creepy yellow, looking at everything through my predator eyes. I look down at Harry's hands to see his veins growing darker by the sencond. I, then, see black veins coming up his neck. I feel the same thing happening to me.

        "Stop it you two. You are supposed to be best mates. Brothers. Don't let a stupid girl get in the way of you brotherly bond." A low, thick Irish accent says out of nowhere. "Niall, standing right here." Avery defends. "I know. I'm Niall by the way." The short, bleached blonde haired boy says. "I'm Lou, this is Li- short for Liam-, and Hazza- also known as Harry." Lou says pointing to me and Harry when saying our names. "So, wolfbloods, eh?" Avery asks breaking the few minutes of silence we went through. "Yea" I was the first to speak up. "So, superheroes, eh?" Lou asks towards Niall and Avery. "Twins, yea?" Harry asks. "Avery is a superhero but I'm a supervillian and yea we are sadly twins." Niall finally speaks up. "Honestly, I would love to be Avery's twin." I spoke. "Us, too." Lou and Hazza say at the same time.

             1 hour later

        "ZAYN!?" I hear a female voice shout over us all. "MADDY!?" Zayn shouts back. They start running to each other. "How you been, love?" Zayn asks after releasing their hug. "I've been good, how 'bout you, mate?" She answers. "I've been good.  I just got adopted." Zayn says. "That's great, mate." She exclaims. "Have you taken wolf form, yet?" Zayn questions. "Does this answer your question?" She responds. Her eyes go from their usual colour to their yellow colour. The dark veins then start crawling up her neck. She, then, turns into this beautiful creature. Blonde stomach fur, dark brown fur going all the way down her back all the way to the tip of her tail, lighter brown fur going down her sides until it reaches her stomach. After that, she takes human form again. She's so beautiful. I thought to myself. I saw Niall tense up. "OMG!" Avery shouted. "Liam, did you forget I can read minds?" She asks. "Yeah. Just please don't tell anyone." I answer. "Niall already knows, mate." She says. "What?! How?!" I exclaim. "We are twins, we have the same powers except I have a few more that he doesn't." She explains. My eyes widen. "Is that why you tensed up?" I ask Niall. "Maybe." He says trying to hide the fact that he likes Maddy, who has a boyfriend. She has a boyfriend, mate. I tell him. "Damn it!" He exclaims out loud.

            Maddy's P. O. V.

I just know they're talking about me. "Maddy?!" I hear Rhydian call for me. "Over hear!" I call back through the trees. Then, I hear twigs snap and leaves crunch under someones feet. The footsteps that cannot be mistaken. My boyfriend. Arms wrap aroung my waist. I turn my head backward to see a Rhydian grinning cheekily. He pecks me on the lips real quick, which makes me smile. Even when it's just a quick peck on the cheek, it's ike fireworks go off. I will never get tired of his kisses. That's when I heard a low and soft growl. I take heard off Rhydian's chest to see who's growling and what at. I see that it's Liam growling at... None other than... Rhydian.

              Niall's P. O. V.

   When he wrapped his arms around her waist, jealousy shot up through my body. It killed me when he pecked  her lips. I'm dead. Officially dead. I thought. Then, I hear a low and kind of soft growl, one that's getting louder by the second. I look over and see Liam growling. Then it hit me... He's growling at Maddy's boyfriend. I walk over to Liam before someone holds me back. I look back. I see Avery pulling my shoulders toward her. "Niall, let him cool down." She says. I nodded walking back to where I was before. I turn to face Liam. He's still growling. You could see Liam's veins turn dark. Then, you can see the dark veins traveling up his neck. His eyes go from their brown to a predatory yellow. He starts to look really pissed off. "Liam, calm down. Breathe." I say walking toward him. "Niall, no, don't, I don't want you to get hurt." I hear Avery say. "Ave, I know what I'm doing, I've dealt with things like this before." I assure her. "Okay, just be careful." She worried. I've never seen her so worried about me, it's almost scary. Yup, defiantely scary. Liam doesn't stop growling. Then, he takes wolf form. He starts snarling and slowly  walking toward Maddy and her boyfriend. "What's going on? He's never like this." I hear Lou say. Liam looks like he's about to pounce. I jump in front of Maddy and her boyfriend, who I still don't know the name of. But, that's not important right now. I put my hand out in front of me and slowly walk toward Liam. I kneal down to the ground, putting my hand on the ground, putting my head down, too. I can feel my eyes change from their ocean blue to their predatory yellow. I bring my head back up to look Liam in the eye. I can tell he sees my eyes because he calms down and takes human form again. I blink and my eyes are back to their normal ocean blue.
