Louis: Appendicitis (1)

Louis POV

I woke up that morning feeling awful. I was cold and my stomach was cramping. I wasn't feeling nauseous or anything, but it hurt so bad. We were on the tour bus heading to our next destination. We had about a 4 hours drive to go, so I tried to go back to sleep, as it was only about 6 am.

I tossed and turned, careful not to wake Harry as he had trouble falling asleep last night. I ended up heading to the bathroom around 7:30 am and showering. My stomach was still cramping and I felt slightly nauseous, but I needed to eat something as I was a little bit hungry.

I went to the kitchen area and started to make myself some breakfast, but as I finished it, the smell of it just made me super nauseous. I sat down and tried to eat, but I just couldn't. Then Harry came in.

"Hi love." He kissed my cheek but then noticed my facial expression and the lack of eating my breakfast. "You okay? You aren't eating."

"Thank you for pointing it out." I sassed. "I thought I was hungry, but I guess I wasn't." I stood up and went to throw it out, but Harry stopped me.

"I'll eat it love, don't worry about it." Harry took it from me and I started to head back to the bunks, but Harry stopped me once again.

"Come sit with me love." He patted the seat next to him, so I reluctantly went over. "Talk to me love."

"It's just my stomach has been cramping and the smell of the food made me kind of nauseous." I put my hand over my stomach, hoping to find some relief.

"Well lucky for you we have four hours until we have to get out and do stuff, so how about you just go rest for now. I'll meet you there when I'm done."

I nodded and made my way back to Harry and I's bed. Liam passed by me, but I just ignored him and got in my bed. Liam made his way to the kitchen.

"What's up with him?" I heard him say. I tried to ignore the conversation and sleep, but I just needed Harry with me. I tossed and turned until Harry came over.

"Try to sleep." He said as I drifted off to sleep.

It was about 45 minutes later when I woke up to hear Niall and Liam playing video games in the back. Harry was still asleep, but my stomach cramped, causing me a lot of pain. I felt super nauseous and got the feeling rising in my stomach, so I went to the bathroom, barely making it in time.

Harry POV

I woke and reached for Louis, who I then realized wasn't next to me. I headed to the back as I heard Niall and Liam

"Hey have you guys seen Louis?"

"No sorry mate. He hasn't been back here. Wasn't he with you?" Niall said, focusing on the screen as he and Liam played fifa.

"Yeah he was, but-" I then heard a bang from the bathroom and quickly walked toward the bathroom.

"Louis?" I knocked gently before opening the door. He was vomiting and seemed to have knocked the soap container over, trying to pull himself up. I closed the door behind me to give Louis some privacy. "Oh darling it's okay." I rubbed his back as he continued. There was a gentle knock on the door. I opened it and saw Liam.

"Is he okay?" Liam said.

"I don't know. He was complaining of stomach cramps earlier, but I'm not sure. Maybe just a bug?"

"It probably is. Do you need anything?"

"Can you grab the thermometer and a bottle of water?"

"Yeah of course." He left. As I waited for him to come back, I turned my attention back to Louis as he seemed to be finished. I pressed my hand against his forehead and it was quite warm, but not too warm. "You definitely have a fever babe. Are you done?"

"I don't know. My stomach still hurts and it's still cramping." He continued to lean over the toilet. Liam came back with the stuff I asked for and I took his temperature.

"Your temp is 100.9oF (38.2oC). I'm going to get you some paracetamol." I went to get up, but I was stopped.

"Please don't leave me." He gripped my shirt quite hard. "It hurts."

"I know baby, but I'll be right back. I'm going to get some medicine to help you. Try to drink the water while I'm gone."

I came back and he was able to keep the medication down for now. I helped him back to our bed and he eventually fell asleep.
