Harry POV
I felt really nauseous when I woke up. I couldn't bring myself to open my eyes, but I heard small chatter in the corner of the room. I could also hear the monitor that was monitoring what seemed like everything in my body right beside me. I felt the IV in my hand along with a wire connected to my device on my right arm. I moved it slightly and the monitor started beeping.
"Harry?" I heard someone say, but couldn't make out who. "Liam go grab the nurse." I tried to open my eyes, but the room was so bright and I couldn't really see.
"What's going on?" I heard who I assumed was the nurse, but again couldn't make it out. "His device that is monitoring his blood sugar came loose. Also I think he is awake." She said. She played around with my arm, reconnecting the wire. "Harry can you hear me?" She opened my eyes one at a time, shining a light in each of them. Then she started to check my vitals. My eyes then fluttered open and I nodded slightly.
"S-stop" I barely muttered out and I swatted her hand away, but then it was held by another hand. I knew it was Louis just by his touch. "Lou make them stop please."
"It's okay darling. She's almost done. She's just trying to help you." Louis said, wiping the tear that fell from my cheek. The nurse finished up and Louis slightly dimmed the lights, so I could open my eyes fully. "Can you give us the room guys?"
"Of course Lou. We'll be outside if you need anything." I saw Louis nod and the boys left. He turned his attention back to me.
"Are you okay? Are you hurting anywhere?" He asked.
"No it doesn't hurt. I just feel weird. What happened?" I asked as Louis sat on the edge of the bed.
"Your blood sugar device was defective and you had a low episode. We had to give the emergency glucagon, which is why we had to bring you here. They are giving us a new device when you leave, but until then you are on the hospital monitor, so try not to move your right arm so the wire doesn't move. You're also on special fluids to help with your blood sugar levels." He explained.
"So that's why I felt sick. My device was wrong and showing the wrong number."
"Yes. It was showing the same number all day, which is why we didn't know it was low because it showed a normal value. I'm sorry, I should have noticed."
"No Lou. Please don't blame yourself for this. The device failed and there was nothing either of us could have done about it. Come here." I pulled him closer with all the strength I had and let him rest on my chest. "Do they know how long the device hasn't been working?"
"They didn't say specifically but they said probably a while. They told me that you were lucky to make it this far without having an episode. But it was scary seeing you like that." He started to cry, which just made me even more upset.
"Don't cry love. It's okay. I'm okay. Now sleep, you look exhausted." I told him.
"So do you." He said, giving a smile and looking up at me.
"I guess we will both have to sleep then." He chuckled then got comfortable right next to me. Eventually we both fell asleep.

Harry was released from the hospital the next day, with a new blood sugar level device. It was a brand new model and it worked amazingly. Also it had to be changed every five days instead of every three days, which was nice.
The boys finished the tour with no problems and Harry and Louis were able to go back to their normal lives with almost no complications.
