I reached over to my night stand to turn off my phone's alarm. I lazily sat up checking my time to see that it was 10am. I usually use my morning hours to go to the gym or a jog around the park that's near my building. Since I woke up a bit later than usual, I decided that I'd just clean my apartment and do some laundry. I figured now would be the best time to get it done. I slid my Fenty slides on walking into my bathroom to get my laundry basket to start a load. While that's going, I started with my bedroom making way out to the kitchen and living room.

Three hours and several breaks later, I was finally finished with everything, including folding and putting my clothes away. It takes me longer to put away my clothes because I have this annoying habit of color coding them. I just think it makes it easier to find things. I stood back watching how clean everything looks, like it came right off a Pinterest board.

It was now going on 2pm and I had an hour to get ready for my shift. I put my phone on the charger and hopped in the shower. Thankfully I pre-ironed all my shirts so I wouldn't have to worry about it. I got out of the shower wrapping the towel around me and going to start my face routine and brush my teeth. When I was done with that, I began getting dressed. I walked out locking my door and going towards the elevator. My apartment was on the 5th floor of this 7-floor complex. I took the elevator down to the parking garage getting into my White Jeep Wrangler. On my way to work, I decided to stop at subway to get something to eat.

"Yes, you're here" Aaron said to me as soon I walked into the locker room. "Yes, I am" I said suspiciously watching him. He's never excited that I'm here for my shift. "Boss lady has a job for you. Come with me" he said walking to his office. Damn already? I was hoping that it would be weeks or something, not legit the next day. "What do I have to do?" I asked unsure if I was up for this. That woman may have been nice to me but I have a strong feeling she can be very dangerous.

"Here. These are to be typed and returned to me, it's this and last year's ledgers and a few letters that need to be typed as well. I will send you the company's header to add to the documents. Put them on this flash drive and bring it back to me tomorrow. You can leave early today to start on them, if you want." He said handing me two journals and a folder with the letters along with the flash drive. I looked at the documents and then back at him confused. "Uh, why me? And why weren't these ever typed?" I asked a bit curious. This was random as hell. "Well you took accounting courses in college, right?" he asked. I nodded my head slowly "yeah?". "Well that means you would understand the formats of these things. We just haven't had the time to convert them." He said shrugging his shoulders. "Okayy then. I'll finish out the shift, we're catering tonight and I know we gonna need all hands on deck" I said still uncertain but turning to walk out. I heard him say 'okay'.
