Jade

I yawned dragging myself out of bed. I stayed up till 3 am doing those files that Aaron asked, well more like told me to type. I still don't understand the point of all this and why it wasn't done to begin with. There were some interesting transactions in here that I was certain that were illegal, or borderline illegal. The fact that they were trusting me with this information had me a bit frightened. Frightened because that means that they'd more than likely ask me to do some crazier shit soon. I decided to take my laptop with me to work today since I wanted to get some work done.

I was planning on writing a short story. It wasn't for anything in specific, but I'd maybe upload it to Wattpad when I think it's completed. And since Aaron's been giving me weird tasks, I'd probably have time to sit and type any ideas that come to me during the day.

I hopped in the shower after letting it warm up. My shower speaker was playing Afro B- Drogba (Joanna) and I was jammin'. I was still tired but at least I'd be in an okay mood before going to work. I got dressed in a tank top and jeans jacket with my work pants on, placing my work top in my bag and grabbing my keys. I walked down to the elevator going down to the parking garage. Getting in my jeep, I immediately blasted Mulatto- In n Out ft City Girls.

I walked into Aaron's office to see him on the phone. I waited for him to get off the phone before speaking. "Here's your original files, and your digitized copies" I said placing them on his desk nicely. He looked at me with a look of approval. I guess he thought I'd come to him with an issue. "Thank you Jade. You deleted the files from your computer?" he asked getting up. I gave him an uneasy look before quickly saying 'yes'. In truth I didn't delete them because I was gonna be nosey later on and find out what some of the transactions were for. I remembered seeing some familiar names and company names. I was hella curious as to what these people really be doing after hours.

"Hmm alright" he said squinting his eyes giving me a suspicious look. I nervously chuckled before walking out to the locker room. I quickly changed and put my purse in my locker. I didn't want him to see that I had my laptop cause I'm not sure if he was serious or not. I'd come back in here when everyone's occupied and transfer the files to another device and delete it.

Aaron

I stood in my office a bit after Jade left. I had a strong feeling that she didn't delete those files. Not that she would even understand what was really going on because to those outside the circle of the ones involved, it's just a bunch of transactions. However, Jade is smart. She could easily try to figure things out. And I cannot allow that to happen. She needs to know as little information as possible until the time is right. So, I needed to get a hold of her laptop. I called our hit man that deals with just about everything from breaking into somewhere, to hacking things, to killing people, if it comes to that, of course. "Yeah, I need you to go to Jade's apartment and find her laptop, hack it, and see if she still has our documents saved there. She cannot be in possession of those for obvious reasons" I said pacing back and forth. In case you were wondering, we made sure that we familiarized ourselves with everyone's address who is in anyway connected to us, to make situations like this simpler. "Why did she even have them to begin with?" he asked confused. "Look man, you know how boss lady is. She does things that only makes sense to her at first" I said shrugging. "You damn right about that. I was actually in the area, so I'ma hit you in a bit" he said before hanging up.

I sat at my desk reading some emails. I had to leave to meet the boss in a few, but I wanted to make sure that this was handled before that. Lord knows that woman would have my head if Jade fucks up anything. I know I'm not the one that scouted her to do these things, but since she works under me, she is ultimately my responsibility. I highly doubt that she'd do anything stupid though. Well, one could hope. My phone started vibrating and I answered it knowing exactly who it was.
