Prologue

Jesse Lopez, 29, is a versatile, stand-up guy. When he's not embodying the male version of Olivia Pope as a 'Fixer', he is creating different business ventures with highly important and wealthy people. Needless to say, he's rich; filthy rich. Jesse also owns a couple casinos. He had everything he needed, well almost everything. He felt as though it was time for him to find a nice woman to settle down with and finally have some kids. There's just one problem, the skeletons of his parents' past are starting to come back to haunt him and his older brother. He tries to make time for women, but with new things popping up all the time, he feels like his life is spiraling out of control.

Ryan Lopez, 31, is the opposite of his younger brother. He spends his fortune partying it up with ballers and groupies. He somehow managed to make some minor investments that has been keeping his bank account healthy. As free-spirited and cheery as his personality is, he causes a lot of trouble for himself, that his younger brother has to clean up. You would think that Jesse would be the one acting out since he's younger. Jesse and Ryan do not know this yet, but they will soon have to answer to some dangerous people.

Jesse and Ryan were adopted into this wealthy family by Alonzo and Mira Lopez. Since they were young, they've known luxury and fortune. Not once did they question how or why they were so rich, but everyone around them knew it and it was a norm. Their parents died in a plane crash on their way back home from a 'hiatus'. That was 5 years ago. Since then, they've been getting random calls, emails, pop ups from people who claim to be associated with their parents, though they never met them. They were also finding mysterious items around the house, and began wondering what the hell their parents were really into and who they really were.

Jade-Amore, 25, is a recent graduate of UCLA. Not knowing what to do with her Marketing degree, she decided to take a year and just work different jobs to see which she enjoyed the most. So far, she has been a Production Manager for Vogue Magazine, Advertiser for a slew of streaming platforms like Hulu and Netflix, and a Copywriter at a Publishing Company. Deciding to take a break from that, she applied for a simple job at a high-end restaurant called Fiery Irons. Their only vacancies were for the waiter/waitress position. They accepted her application immediately after reviewing her resume. She has no idea who the boss is, but from seeing the types of people that have private meetings in the restaurant at times, she can tell that the boss is powerful. When she and Jesse have the most random encounter, they both have no idea what is about to hit them.

This story is about to take you on an emotional rollercoaster. I have not written any content in years, and I am trying to get my mojo back lol. The build-up will definitely be slow, and there are going to be many hidden messages that you should look out for and pay attention to. I do not know these characters personally, so if any of my description of their personalities is unlike their social media presence, please do not come at me lol, this is solely for the illustration of the book. I have read a lot of Keith Powers stories and there are some BOMB ones out there. Needless to say, I am in no competition with any other author, and I just want you guys to enjoy my story.
