[LEVI]
Oh wow it's Monday already and the morning went by slowly and grey. And blank. The classroom felt oddly warm and quiet. I tapped my pen on the table while waiting for the teacher to hand out the History test for the students. I turned to look at Furlan beside me, a smile was spreading on his face as he mouthed, 'good luck' to me. I nodded lazily and went back to look in front when the teacher placed the test paper on my table.
Then, the teacher cleared his throat before announcing. "If you don't have any problems, you may start now."

Once the class ended, students started waddling off like penguins on a summer. I headed straight towards the cafeteria alongside with Furlan who couldn't stop talking about how easy the test was. Well, it's all thank to the museum trip on Saturday and not because Furlan being a naturally smart kid.The cafeteria was loud with chattering like any other day and it really bothers me. Therefore, I quickly went to buy some food before searching for our usual spot somewhere at the back. It seemed that Erwin and Hange were the first one to get out from their class and I noticed that Isabel was sitting beside Erwin.
I tightened my grip on my lunch tray as I attempted to hide my glare. If a look could kill, Isabel would probably be laying on a hospital bed by now. Listen, I don't hate her. Pfft...why would I? But this whole thing doesn't work on me.
I slammed down my lunch tray on the table, causing Hange, Isabel and Erwin to flinch by the sudden action. I sat down in a sassy manner and didn't even bother to look at Erwin. However, I caught him glancing at me and his smile managed to melt my stone cold heart and I groaned silently.
"How was the test, Levi?" He flashed me a charming smile.
I took a bite of my apple quite aggressively before answering. "Boring."
Hange chuckled in amusement as she chewed her salad. I just now realised that Miche was not here with us so I decided to ask Hange about it.
"Where's Miche?"
"Oh, he's over there with Nanaba and Gelgar." She replied, pointing somewhere in the crowd. I nodded in return and swallowed the remaining bits of my apple.
"Erwin, thanks to you I be able to answer question 10 after recalling your advice!" Isabel gushed excitedly.
Erwin laughed. "I am happy to help."
I watched Isabel across from me with an obvious stare. She's unusually talkative today and very cheerful too. Her face littered with cheekiness and bright smiles. I shifted at my seat uncomfortably and gaze away from her. Erwin was really into her lecture and he would always reply to Isabel's questions with brilliant responses. In other words, Isabel and Erwin were in their own world. In front of me.
And I hated that.
Hange and Furlan were chatting happily and they seemed to not notice me so I took the advantage from it. I gobbled down my food and ate faster than any of them on purpose.
I don't wanna stay there any longer.
I looked to my lunch tray. Clean. I stood up furiously, ignoring the weird looks that my friends were giving me. I sprinted away and put the lunch tray somewhere at the cafeteria counter and rushed towards the direction to my classroom.
"Levi!" I heard Furlan called from afar but I continued walking until the noises from the cafeteria became distant and unclear. Good. I really need the peace of silent for awhile.
I entered my empty classroom and took a seat on my place, staring to my desk. Here comes my inner dialogue again, I felt it whispering to my ears, "You're going to lose him." The world seemed closer to my eyes and the air became more soupy, harder to breathe. I felt light-headed as well.
