The day before yesterday
I was six years old
And yesterday
I became seven
And I like seven better
Than six
Don't ask why
Because I'm about to tell you.

I have this red book
Mama says it's called
A journal
She tells me it's for
Recording moments in your life.
My handwriting isn't so bad
So today I am writing
Because it's my second day
Being seven years old
And I think that
Is a moment
In my life.
