After the four-color sky happenstance
(happenstance is my new favorite word)
All those years ago
We went to an eye doctor
Or eye nurse
I don't really know
If there is a difference.
After hours
And hours
And hours
It seems
Mama tells me I have a
"Strange medical condition"
It's nothing to be worried about
It only means
That you see five or more
Colors than most
Then she smiles at me
And says it'll be fine
Because Dada has the same
"Strange medical condition."
