"We're gonna die!" Jungkook hyperventilated, "We are all gonna die!"
Yoongi gritted his teeth, turned around and snapped at the boy. "Shut up, Jungkook. We are not going to die. Not today!,"
He then turned to the front as Seokjin let out a shrill scream, seeing just how fast the Hosts were walking and how quickly there were nearing the bus. They all gulped and stared hawk eyed at the fast approaching hoard of infected.
"What do I do? There are too many of them, I can't drive through," Seokjin hands shook as he spoke, eyes frozen on the disgusting mass of what were once people stumbling toward them.
He wasn't that great of a driver and with that much infected, the car could be slowed down in a second, the windows could be broken, they could be infected.
"I think they're attracted to the sound of the bus," Yoongi stated. It was true, the bus made a loud rumbling sound even as it stuck in place.
"So do I kill the engine?" asked Seokjin, his eyes only dragged off the Hosts for a split second to land on Yoongi who looked severely deep in thought.
"No. They'll corner us and it'll attract more sound when we restart it," Yoongi shook his head, slowly detaching himself from a terrified Hoseok who struggled to latch unto him. "Head back, I'll take the wheel," he said walking towards the driver seat.
"Wait, Yoongi, what?!" Hoseok screamed at his boyfriend with wide eyes.
What the hell was Yoongi even doing? Hell, he was almost as bad a driver as Seokjin and he suddenly thought he could play hero? Seokjin shakily made his way to the back of the bus where he hugged his brother close to his chest.
"It'll be okay, I promise," he gave a soft, reassuring smile. "Go stay with Namjoon,"
He hadn't even spoken to the brown haired boy before now but he was the one Yoongi trusted the most, and he didn't even know why. But it was the middle of a pandemic and they were seconds away from being turned into the mindless things scrambling toward them. There was no time for trust issues.
He settled in the drivers seat and flexed his hands on the wheel. "Alright, everyone hold on to something. It's gonna be a bumpy ride,"
He gave them approximately thirty seconds before he put the bus in reverse, allowing it go a few meters back, pushed the handbrake to drive and he slammed on the gas. His full attention was on maneuvering between the Hosts and the upturned rubbish that lined the street. The bus lurched forward in insane speed, sending them all flying forward before they had the time to brace themselves.
They of them could hear the crunch of bones and other word things as Yoongi hit any and everything that was in his path. His windshield became a mess of blood and once even a detached limb. It hit the glass and with the speed, flew over to the roof and out.
Truth be told, he had absolutely no clue where he was going but anything to lose them. They made several twists and turns but it seemed wherever they went, those things followed. There had to be at least seventy of them stumbling after the bus and the loud sound the engine made.
"Oh god," Seokjin muttered into his brother's hair.
"How are they still getting closer?!" Minho shouted in disbelief, eyes trained on the back windshield where more of them ran after the bus.
Yoongi was going fast enough, he should've lost them by now.
Yoongi looked in the rearview mirror and saw the Hosts tailing him from behind. They were pretty fast for a bunch of mindless virus infected leeches. He made another turn and drove the bus through a wide enough alleyway. There were clothes on hangers, body parts on the grimy moldy floors.
