You and Sam lay asleep on the couch in the living room, because you didn't want to be in your room last night because of the camera

"Tonight we have to sleep in the room to not rise suspicion" Sam says

"I know, it's gonna be weird to sleep like that" you say

"It'll also be weird to sleep buried alive" Sam says

"Wow, you continue to surprise me with what you say" you whisper

"So... what's been going on with work?" Sam asks

"Uh... you know... cooking... thinking that I'm gonna have my neck cut open by a box cutter every day..." you say "so, normal" you joke

Timeskip

You and Jesse are outside of the lab waiting for Walter

"So your here?" Walt says as he gets out of his car

"Yeah" Jesse says

"You're actually here? To work?" Walt asks

"Calm down, he's here" You say

"Jesus" Jesse mutters

"Jesse." Walt says. You and Jesse stop "come here"

The two of you walk to him "what do you need?" You ask

"I need an update" walt says

"An update on what?" Jesse asks

"An update on these little field trips that you've been taking with Mike" walt says

"I told you already. We pick up money. Check on things. Stuff like that." Jesse says

"And your his bodyguard, right?" Walt says as Jesse scoffs "what? That's what you said."

"I said I guarded him. Like backup. Like a second set of eyes, everybody needs backup, right?" Jesse says

"And it has to be you? It can't be, I don't know, tyrus or any of the couple dozen muscle-heads that gus has working for him? It has to be Jesse pinkman. Why? What, is there something about you I don't know? Are you a former navy SEAL?"

"Calm down, man. If gus wants him, we can't do anything. and he doesn't have to tell you everything either way" you say

"All I'm saying is that do you not even question this? Do you really believe that you mean anything to these people? Not trying to insult. Just trying to make you see things clearly" walt says

"I see they can't outright kill me or y/n because of you, but they don't want me getting high. I see this thing probably started as gus getting mike to babysit me. But you know what? I saved mike from getting robbed, even killed, maybe. So maybe I'm not such a loser after all!" Jesse says

"I mean, what if it—? Oh, god" walt says "all right. What if it's all just a setup?"

"what?" Jesse asks

"What if this robbery that you stopped wasn't even real? I mean think about it. Your first day out guarding mike. He steps out for one second, you immediately get robbed" walt says

"You are such an asshole" Jesse says

"He said it was on the last drop, why wouldn't they do it somewhere in the middle or something? The last one is obvious" you say

"Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer. Like you said. Gus can't kill you or y/n because of me, he knows I won't stand for it. He needs me. And he hates the fact that he needs me! So what does he do? He goes to work driving a wedge between you and me!"
