The royal priest's words were abruptly cut off by a voice echoing through the grand hall.
Heads turned sharply toward the entrance, where a young male omega stood, breathless, just inside the towering palace doors.
Gasps rippled through the crowd. A werewolf-on vampire royal grounds? In the middle of the crown prince's wedding?
The young omega's voice rang out again, louder this time. "I object!"
On the stage, the prince froze. His eyes widened as they locked with the intruder's.
"Jungkook?" he breathed. Taehyung's voice trembled with disbelief. "What are you doing here?"
He never expected to see his mate again-not after the rejection. Jungkook had walked away, and Taehyung had let him go, convinced it was what he deserved. He'd buried the pain, buried the bond, telling himself it was for the best.
But fate-fate doesn't forget. And the Moon Goddess never makes mistakes.
Jungkook's eyes filled with tears as he stepped forward, voice cracking. "Taehyung... you can't marry her."
The entire hall fell into stunned silence.
"What do you mean?" Taehyung asked, stepping down from the stage, his heart pounding as he approached the omega who once shattered him. "Jungkook... why are you crying?"
"Be... because, Taehyung..." he sniffled, barely able to get the words out. "I... I'm pregnant... with our pup. It's your baby."
Another wave of gasps echoed across the hall, but the two mates barely noticed. All they saw was each other. All they heard was the sound of their own hearts colliding in the middle of the chaos.
Taehyung stared, stunned.
"What?" he whispered, as if saying it louder would shatter the moment.
Jungkook gave a soft, broken laugh through his tears. "You heard me, Taehyung. You're my baby daddy."
Then, without hesitation, he took Taehyung's hand and gently placed it on his belly.
