"He left me bleeding? No, sweetheart-
I handed him the knife and told him to walk."
(Spoiler: he did.)

"Oh my goddess, Taehyung! Do something-I'm about to lose it!"
"Relax, sweetheart. Is it that time of the month again?"
"Shut up, you overgrown...

The rhythmic thudding didn't come from the club's bass-at least, not yet. It was the sound of small, frantic feet hitting the hardwood floor of the hallway.
"Move it!"
"Faster!"
"He's going to get the power-up!"
"Shoot-right there, yes! Left flank,
JeongGwon, left flank!"
Jungkook pushed the front door open, the familiar scent of home-warm vanilla, old books, and the faint, earthy musk of young wolves-washing over him. It was the only thing that could instantly melt the tension from his shoulders after a long day of running errands for the pack council.
"Guys, I'm home!" Jungkook called out. He didn't wait for an answer; he knew he wouldn't get one until the "Game Over" screen flashed. He slipped off his boots, lining them up with military precision on the rack, and traded them for his secret weapon of comfort: a pair of plush, worn-out bunny slippers.
As he rounded the corner into the living room, the scene was exactly as he'd envisioned. The sofa cushions were scattered like debris after a storm, and his ten-year-old twin brothers were hunched over their controllers, tongues poking out in identical expressions of intense focus.
"Yah! Why would you do that? I was winning!" JeongEun suddenly shrieked, his voice cracking as he lunged for his brother.
"You were cheating! You were using the glitch!" JeongGwon snapped back, his eyes flashing a brief, reflexive amber.
He shoved the controller into the sofa cushions with a dramatic groan.
"I'm not playing with you anymore! You're a tyrant!"
Jungkook leaned against the doorframe, crossing his arms over his chest. His heart ached with a mixture of exhaustion and fierce, protective love. "Guys," he sighed, his voice dropping into that specific 'older brother' register that demanded attention.
"Why are you fighting again? Can't you both act like normal twins for once? Or at least like you share the same DNA?"
"He started it first, Hyung," JeongGwon pouted, his lower lip trembling in a way that would have worked on anyone else. He pointed a finger at JeongEun.
"He pushed my character into the lava!"
"Liar! You snatched the controller from me and made me lose the game first!" JeongEun argued, his small face flushed red.
"Because you killed me, and we were supposed to be on the same team!"
"I wanted to be the only winner..." JeongEun mumbled, his bravado vanishing instantly. He dropped his gaze to his lap, picking at a loose thread on his shirt.
