Jacob POV*
Just as Luke said, more than a handful of Cassiopeia's sleeping spell days passed with her in and out of sleep. Waking up early and getting dressed I made my way down the hall to my mates room already expecting her to be fast sleep but instead I could hear quiet up beat music playing as I went up the stairs and knocking on her door.
"Come in!" Her voice called sweetly in my ears as a smile came to my lips and I pushed the door open to see her fixing the bed before glancing at me only to look away hiding her smile. Looks like I was missed in some way.
"Good morning, I didn't expect you to be up so early." I told her before she nodded and sat down on the bed looking up at me as I went to lean against her bed post crossing my arms.
"Yea you and me both. I was so tired but I feel good as new." She told me with a smile but in a way still seemed off as I knelt putting a hand to her face causing her to took at me with surprise before I put the back of my hand to her forehead and sighed at the slight warmth.
Geez, for a second I thought she had a fever.
"Jacob?" Cassie called and I hummed.
"Sorry, I was just checking. Are you feeling hungry?" I asked and got a nod as I stood. I had a mate that looked well composed around people she didn't know and nearly outright unruly with people she did know like my sister and the wolves but it seemed I was getting the best of both worlds. Well composed and well outspoken.
"Maybe stay in this time?" She asked causing a growl that I couldn't help as I took her hand in mine pulling her to her feet thinking about the last time we went out.
"You can believe me when I say I wont let that happen a second time." I told her with a growl and serious look but she gave a slight smile looking up at me.
"I believe you. Hungry?" Her expression was completely clear as if she wasn't even really thinking about any one thing but a lot of things.
'You okay?' I asked in the link and as expected, Cassiopeia looked at me like a nine headed dragon then her eyes widened with panic as I heard her heart beat pick up and she jumped from the bed running into the bathroom while I took in a breath putting a hand to my mouth before sighing as I covered my ears expecting her scream of disbelief and anger. I already knew she may not fully remember but I had yet to figure out her response to me marking her. Rather to my assumption, she quietly came back out and that was it, literally. She was silent when we left the room and silent during breakfast, even silent after meeting up with Emily and the wolves for a little hangout time.
"She is really upset with you huh." Emily asked and I could only shrug with a shake of my head.
"The worst part isn't even that she's not talking to me its that's she is clearly mad but she isn't asking questions, yelling, screaming, or even looking mad. I expected her to scream bloody Mary when she looked in the mirror but she was just quiet." I told my twin and the woman laughed.
"Don't like her silent anger do you?" She asked and it was true. An angry or sad person can be dealt with and are for the most part, sloppy and predictable but it was the silent ones that didn't even look mad you had to worry about because there was no telling what they may do.
"Just give her time. She might not kill you." Luke said before putting a kiss to my sister's head then walking ahead of us to put a hand on my mates shoulder only to glance at her mark then whisper something to her with a pat to her head. The three of them was full proof of a bloodless bond. They simply grew up together under the same care yet love and fight just like blood.
"Hey Jacob?" I looked up with a hum at my sister to see her smile and glowing eyes.
"Yea?" I asked her.
