Ash's pov

Time skip: next show. D.C.

Okay, I know what you must be thinking and no, nothing happened. He wouldn't tell me where we were going but given the stress of tonight, I knew it would be nothing crazy. Jon showed me this little mom and pop pizza place just outside of town, and I'm not gonna lie, that was some of the best pizza I've ever had. Although, if I said we didn't have a beer with dinner I would be lying.

We actually got to talking about his debut compared to mine. I guess he had gotten over the fact that I had already brought up that topic before and he got pissed at me. We talked and laughed for hours. It actually got to the point that we got kicked out.

Needless to say, we had a lot of fun. After everything happened the other night I think we both realized we needed to be careful, not just for ourselves but for each other. If you would have asked me last year where I would have been a year from then I wouldn't have even been in the ballpark.

This week I have a segment with Brandi about why I did what I did after I helped Jon. I hope I can play it off right. All these guys have years of experience under their belts and I have almost nothing. I have a few hours to kill so I make my way to the stairwell in hopes of finding some peace before I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off.

I push the door open with a heave, don't judge me it's a heavy door. I let out a breath seeing that it's empty, just this alone given me peace of mind. Deciding after a few minutes of taking in the silence to call my best friend from back home, I pull out my phone and click his contact.

Before the second ring, I hear the high pitch screech of my best friend. "OH, MY GAWD!!! ASHLEE COPELAND, why didn't you call me sooner. I missed my baby Edge." I can literally hear the pout on his face, I guess that's how you know we're best friends. "I know Alex, I missed my Baby Bull. If you couldn't tell it's been kind of hectic around here." I feel tears coming to my eyes hearing his voice for the first time in about six months, not seeing him for a few years now is getting to me.

"I can tell and I'm sorry sis I wish I could be there to hit you with a charger and whip you into shape." There it is, also yes this has happened before. "You have no idea how much that would help right now. I do have something to tell you and you're not going to like it." There's a silence on the other end of the phone and I can tell that he's trying to figure out if he needs to beat somebody's ass.

"Ash you better start talking before I come out there and make you. What happened?" I sigh standing up after realizing that I had been sitting there longer than I thought and it was time to make my way back to the dressing room. "Give me a minute I'm walking through the arena and I don't particularly want my personal life said for everyone to hear." Alex lets out a huff from the other side of the phone but doesn't reply.

Grabbing my bag from my locker I head to the showers so I can get changed before I start to talk again. "I know you remember Jake, but the question is, how mad are you about what he did all those years ago?" I hear another ring in my ear and realize Alex wants to FaceTime, and before you think I'm insane, Alex is my best friend for highschool who told me they wanted their pronouns to be he instead of she. I hit except and set my phone down on the sink stripping from the t-shirt and jeans.

"How the fuck could I forget the guy that broke my Baby Edge? So to answer your question the next time I see him I will not hesitate in cutting off his dick and feeding it to him. Why do you ask?" Dragging my shirt over my head I pick up my phone not caring that I'm only in my bra and jeans.

"I can't exactly get away from him anymore." I pause wishing I didn't have to say this. "I kind of work with him." Turning my back to the camera I lean down to grab the red lace bra from my duffle before sliding on my black Pink Floyd shirt. I start to fix my hair pulling it into a loose fishtail making sure that the three smaller braids are still in it.
