Jons POV

I watch as she pushes some random guy off her and walks out the door of the bar looking pretty shaken up. Rolling my eyes I take a pull off my beer before walking over to the guys.

I take a drink and place my hand on Chris' shoulder. I know that neither one of the guys could feel the tension that lingered from when I locked eyes with Lilith so I just try and push it aside. I see Cody look at me from his place against the wall and give me a nod of his head before taking one of the three shots he had ordered.

"Hey, Jon. What was up with you and Ashley today? You seemed kind of tense." I raise my eyebrow in confusion, not understanding who they were talking about. The only Ashley I know was Renee's cousin and I haven't seen her since college.

"Who the hell is Ashley? I haven't talked to anyone today except for y'all and the new girl." I see Chris try and choke down his laughter and shake his head. "What the fuck are you laughing at Chris?" You can hear the venom in my voice as I remove my hand and look at him.

"Dude Ashley is the new girl, Lilith is just her ring name. Did you really not know that?" I don't know why but I can't help but roll my eyes. I couldn't care less about the new chick and as far as I'm concerned all she's doing is trying to piggyback off of the name I've spent my whole life to build.

"No, actually I didn't, and if I'm being honest with you... I don't give a shit. How she managed to piss me off the first time I met her I don't know but the second she mentioned Joe and Colby I lost any respect and any second thought that I would have given her." I can see the glare that Cody is shooting me form the other side of the table but I just shrug it off.

He sets his empty shot glass down before placing his arms on the table and leaning over to close some distance between us. I have always had respect for him even when we had matches in Wwe together. "It's funny that you think you have a choice to give her a chance. You are being put in a romantic storyline whether you want to be or not. Now I saw her walk out looking shaken up and if I were you I would go check on her." The tone and the venom in his voice leaves no room for negotiation.

Sighing I reluctantly push off from my spot at the table and push my way to the door not knowing what I might find when I step out that door.

Liliths POV

...Jake Hagar. Of all people to offer me a light, it had to be Jake. He meets my eyes and I let a straggled breath. I went to school with Jake for a few years before I moved to Vegas and to say that I didn't hang out with him every chance I got would be a total lie. I thought I would be able to have a relationship when I moved my when I came back to surprise him I found him with my sister pressed against the wall not even realizing I was there. After that, I haven't spoken to either one of them and I haven't wanted to.

Seeing him here now is bringing back to many memories and the fact that he's as close to me as he is, is putting me on edge. "Get away from me Jake." I utter the words lowly while looking down at the ground trying to shake the feeling of his eyes burning through me. I hear the door of the bar slam closed and I silently thank God because now I know he won't do anything. After a minute Jake still hadn't left so I look up at him standing my ground before I finally find my voice. "I said leave Jake. I don't want to see you or have anything to do with you or Rylee for that matter." seconds passed before he leaned close to my ear before speaking softly.

"Oh Ashley, it might be a problem seeing as we work for the same company now. No matter how much you want me out of your life we always find our way back to each other. Can yo-" He's cut off by a hand on his shoulder pushing him away from me.

"I think I heard her ask you to leave. Now either you can leave on your own or you can leave in a body bag. I've beaten you once before Jake and those weren't even real hits. Don't make me show you want I can do without a script." I hear the voice growl but I still don't know who it is because I looked back down at the ground trying to avoid Jake's eyes.

I feel him step back and walk toward whoever threatened him. Ther stare at each other for what seems like an eternity before Jake backs away. "This isn't over. If anything we'll settle this in the ring." He walks toward the parking lot before disappearing behind a car.

"Are you ok?" I slowly nod my head before looking up at whoever came to help me. The first thing I see is the same blue eyes I haven't been able to get out of my head for days now. "Thank you. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't stepped in. I owe you one." I manage to squeak out in a quiet voice. I still have an unlit cigarette between my fingers.

"Come back inside and let me buy you a drink to get your mind off that jackass yeah?" I slowly nod my head before I slide the cigarette back into its place in the pack before heading back inside with Jon.

We make our way to the bar; his hand brushing mine as we walk. Not knowing what to say I tuck a piece of hair behind my ear shyly before looking up at a flustered Jon trying to wave down the bartender.

I place my hand on his arm gently before saying his name to pull his attention away from trying to flag down the bartender. "Jon I'm sorry about what I said earlier. I didn't mean to hit a nerve. I know I shouldn't have brought up your family and I'm sorry for that. What you did for me tonight can never be repaid but I can sure as hell try." He nods his head before going back to trying to get drinks.

After about another minute he is able to order. The fact that we have to same taste helps a lot seeing as he ordered a whiskey neat. I sigh as the amber liquid reaches my lips relishing the burn as the drink slides down my throat.

"What was that all about earlier? You acted like there was bad blood between you and Jake. You don't have to answer but it might help me when I go to kick his ass 'cause lest be honest I was gonna do that anyway." I sigh as those words leave his mouth. I knew I wasn't doing to be able to get away from the question but I didn't think it would come up that fast. I know I have to answer though I owe him that much.

"Years ago I was involved with Jake but I moved out here to train. We didn't break up because we both wanted to try and make long-distance work. My sister had stayed in Oklahoma for medical school and Jake had a job that wouldn't allow him to leave. So after about six months of being here, I decided to go back and surprise him but when I got home I found him with Rylee; my sister. He didn't even know I was there so I just left. A week later I sent him a picture that I was able to take before I left and I told him to fuck off and never talk to me again. Up until now I hadn't seen him or thought about him or my sister." That's the first time that I've said that to anyone and it feels good to get it off my chest.

He looks at me with sympathy but only for a second. "I know you don't want my sympathy but I am sorry that happened to you and I will kick his ass. I actually need to warn you about what's going down this Sunday. I have a match with Jericho but you have to interfere and practically hand me the title." He pauses to gauge the look on my face before continuing.

"You'll run down the ramp with a chair and ambush Chris when he's not looking. We come face to face before you drop out of the ring leaving the chair behind. I'll watch you back down the ramp before covering Chris for the win and ultimately the title." My mind starts to race as thoughts of promos run through my head and start to come to life.

I nod my head and down the rest of my drink and stand from my spot at the bar. "Thanks for the drink but I think I need to get back so I can get my gear ready and call to see if I have a promo or anything but we definitely need to do this again sometime. Thanks for saving me tonight." As I turn to walk away I feel him grab my arm before holding out his hand giving me a slip of paper then letting me go. I clutch the paper as I walk through the crowded bar before hailing a cab.

I slide into the backseat and look down at the paper in my hand. Seeing a number scribbled I gasp, a little louder than I meant because the driver looks at me in his mirror, "Are you ok mamn?" I continue to look at the paper in my hand before answering, "Yes, I'm fine." He nods before looking back at the road.

Jon Moxley gave me his number.
