Note: I wrote this poem a few years ago about my best friend whom I had an unrequited crush on. This is how I said goodbye. I hope it'll inspire others to move on as well.

Sometimes I wish I could go back in time,
Make everything undone and fine.
Rethink, redo, rewrite..
Just be next to your side.

Now I'm here without ya,
Thinkin' 'bout our days.
About how we found our ways
Yeah, I'll think about it. I will always.

I can't lie anymore.
I fell for, felt for you. I can't just ignore...that

But, Do you remember?
Smashing the dance floor?
With me, the girl next door.
We never got more and I'm sorry for finally closing our door.

I still think you could never actually see,
That you really mattered to me.

All I was,
Just a girl you knew
I tried hard to be more.
Isn't that insane?
We were made to besties,
Not girlfriend and boyfriend.
I felt different anyways. That's where I stand.

And then the time flew by,
We stopped talking and chatting.
And after a while,
You couldn't remember me.

But YOU will always be my first crazy, unbelievable, heart-breaking first love,
I won't ever forget you.

You are amazingly perfect, my little heart admired you so much, more than you could ever imagine.

But I'm fine now. I really am.
I mean, you'll always be a part of my life, but I still keep moving.
It was nice to meet you.
Goodbye, Love.
