-Ana's pov-
Though it's only been mere days since I was rescued from Malfoy Manor, I was fit enough for a visit with my father and Draco.
The trio was present when they explained to me that I wasn't to be with Draco anymore. I had to permanently end things with him. No going back. Because Draco's a death eater now, which means he's not safe.
It was then my emotions took a scary turn. I grew numb. I had to leave behind the only man I've ever truly loved. I wasn't allowed to see my father. I'm being hunted by the Dark Lord because he wants to use me for immortality so he can rule the wizarding world with darkness.
I didn't feel like I had much of a purpose. At all. I felt useless. Pathetic. Just like Bellatrix had said. I had no reason to live if all I'm meant to live for is for someone else to use me to live forever. I get no freedom. And am forced to live a life in hiding.
Unless out of some miracle, the Dark Lord is killed. Then it would all be okay again.
Being escorted by Remus and Sirius, Harry, Ron, and Hermione not far behind so they could watch and monitor the meeting. The first thing to catch my eye across the Black Lake was a head of blonde hair. And a pale face.
He saw me and looked as if he'd faint. He came running to me and wrapped me in a tight, warm embrace. It hurt my heart. It hurt so bad. Because I have to leave him. And he doesn't know that that's why I came here to see him. To tell him I can't ever be with him.
I hugged him back but faintly. He pulled back and looked down into my eyes, cupping my face in his hands. "God, I'm so glad to see you okay. I heard they rescued you from the Manor. I was so worried. I didn't eat or sleep all week."
His story wasn't false. He was thin and had bags under his eyes. They were tearstained as well. As were his pale cheeks.
I took a shaky deep breath in and sighed it out. "Draco we need to talk."
"That doesn't sound good," He looked worried. "Don't worry me more. I've just seen that you're alright."
Snape left to give Draco and I privacy. I plan on talking to him after... this conversation. I'll probably need it. Considering I already know how this is going to end.
"What is it?" Draco asked as we sat on the bank of the lake. The soft, dark green grass giving off a very Slytherin vibe. "You don't seem like yourself, Ana."
"I'm not," I answered numbly. "Draco I can't see you anymore."
"I know. We- we established that. I just- I want to be on good terms with you at least. I know that you-"
"No, Draco," I looked into his eyes, firmly. "Ever. I can't see you anymore- ever."
"Wh-" He scoffed. "What do you mean?"
"It's for our safety. And- I already have a target on my back. I'm risking my safety coming to talk to you. I don't need another Death Eater, someone the Dark Lord is monitoring, to even accidentally give me up."
"So- you can't be around me because you don't trust me?"
"Don't make this harder than it needs to be," I asked. "Please."
"Who are you?" He stood up. Hurt and anger mixed reflecting in his silver eyes. "I-I don't recognize you anymore, Anastasia! You- what happened to the night at the Quidditch Pitch?! Or the breakfast we ate together?! Or those times I stood up for you?!"
"I was living a lie, Draco!! My birth was an accident!!" I stood up, now yelling and fighting with him eye to eye. Well, I had to look up slightly, but that's not the point.
