Attack! - part 33

Before they arrive at the camp, they see smoke through the trees, hear the screams and clanging of metal, and smell the scent of gunpowder. They run closer, and soon reach the treeline where they see the dark army surround the entirety of the camp, with soldiers fighting desperately, Lutol and Maralyne stuck in the fighting as well. "They're vastly overrun! How did they sneak this large force through to the camp!?" Damian shouts, Zircon looking at the battle unfold, seeing how spread out the army is.

He runs towards the fighting, Rose following behind, and changes into his smokey form. Some enemy soldiers see this, and charge at them, jumping into the battle, Zircon uses the new knowledge of his power to destroy the enemy soldiers that dare face him, using smoke weapons and sending them at high speeds through some soldiers, making smoke figures and surrounding groups before cutting them down, and even sending large clouds of smoke, choking any that were unfortunate to get caught in it. Rose uses her daggers and fighting style with a sort of grace as she weaves through attacks, beginning to fight large groups and not even getting touched as she kills them. Damian and Tesath finally run out of the treeline, and with Tesath's light, she shines it on the three, them beginning to cut through and reaching their army.

But by the time they reach them, on the other side the soldiers begin to fall in larger numbers, and many are beginning to get surrounded. Zircon makes many more of his shadow figures, sending them to fight in multiple areas, while the others do as much as they can before getting overrun or surrounded. It's at this moment a large boom is heard, and a cannonball is seen flying through the air, and onto the enemy soldiers. "The reinforcements are here!" Soldiers shout, beginning to steel themselves in their fighting, Damian and the others fighting harder and harder. From behind, a large line of allied soldiers come through, cannons seem next to some as they load cannonballs. The officer is seen, and he swings his sword forward. A volley of cannonballs take down many enemies, and soon, the allies are on the offensive as the enemies begin to retreat. "Dont let them run!" Damian shouts, running ahead of everyone as they move towards the enemy fort. Archers send arrow volley after arrow volley as they get closer, Zircon making smoke walls to block them.

Just when they reach the field in front of the fort, Zircon then starts forming his smoke into a large figure, almost three times the size of Lutol. The smoke figure then swings a large chain at the fort walls, them going through the wood and metal, and pulling the walls down. "No matter what happens, we fight as one!" Damian shouts, soldiers letting out a battle cry as they charge into the fort, Zircon, Tesath and anyone else also charging through. It's at this moment the full force of the enemy is brought upon them, and soon hundreds of enemies start flowing out of the fort and into the battlefield. Damian holds his sword up, soldiers lining up next to him, and as Tesath shines her light on them all, he let's out a battle cry and charges, Lutol pushing through and swinging his axe wildly, cutting and tossing any enemy caught in the swing. Zircon begins to send even more smoke giants into the battle, Rose just passing by him as his form starts to get thinner in smoke. He falls to the ground after sending one last giant, Rose running to him and tries to grab him, her hands only going through him. "W-Well...guess I found my limit..." he says as he looks towards the battle. "Go on ahead, I'll catch up later once I can stand..." Zircon says, Rose looking at him for a second then runs towards the battle.
