SPOILER IN THE INTRO HERE!!DONT READ HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED❌❌❌

Sooo, I can't deal with the fact that Twice is dead because he is just so ❤️ and I love him dearly... so he is very much alive in this story. He even fights with Hawks heheehe... in other words this happened far before that incident and also far before the Touya reveal.
In other words it is fairly OOC in the sense that Dabi and Hawks show a lot of care towards one another in a strange way.

Here it's save to read!!💯

I received a lot of messages and requests to write dabihawks, and despite it clearly being hard to make canonly accurate I decided to try my best. It is a bit ooc with the surroundings, etc, but that's fiction ;)

Synopsis:

Hawks is sick, but he is also the no 2 hero. This means he has a responsibility, one he can't look away from just because he has a cold.
In a battle against the exacerbating LOV, he finds himself a weak junction. His fever rises in the heat of the moment, and at last he is forced to recede.
Everything turns black, but who is the person he catches sight off before he goes down?

Sickie: Hawks
Caretaker: Dabi

The league of villains kept taking turns for the worse. What started out as a devious mission to pester the teenagers at UA and All might was no longer a centred quest. Midoriya, anyone and everyone around him. The league wanted to end it all in mass destruction. Now, the whole city was at stake, let alone the whole country.

As the now number two hero of Japan, Hawks was more or so compelled to aid the city his help and fulfil his heroic duties. This was a mission that was persistent, never faltering away despite the hero's condition and form.

He had a responsibility, no matter how much he wished to ignore it.

Which is why, when the LOV stormed the Seiai academy Hawks was bound to Aid a helping wing, even when he had a broken rib and a fever that refused to dwindle.

With strong wings the hero sluiced past buildings, head swimming in a warm fog yet his motives extremely clear. He was a hawk, with sharp eyes and a smooth pattern of movements as he glided over the sky.

When he caught the sight of the academy on the ground, he started decreasing his altitude and slowly sailing further towards the ground. With sharp eyes he could see Shigaraki.. the one in the body suit, and the one with a curious top hat. There should've been more...

buildings were crumbling, alarms were blaring and smoke was rising from the ground. What did they even want?

Hawks didn't remain invisible for long. When one of the villains first noticed him, it was as if a telepathic force allowed everyone else access to the newfound information.

"Twice! Above you!"

Hawks barely managed a strike to the masked villains head before he was struck back. He spun around in the air, landing on all fours on the ground to steady himself.

His chest was tight already, making each breath a chore to take. 'Alright, Keigo, you've got this.'

He skilfully plucked out three feathers from his left wing, the structure sharpening to resembling knives as the swung them towards the villain at an impeccable speed. One of the red feathers slit through the black fabric that covered his cheeks and Keigo could briefly spot the blood that immediately started seeping from the gash.

"Ow!"

The winged hero did a somersault backwards, body jostling in an unpleasant matter as he dodged a blow from the girl with the messy buns of ashy blonde hair. They seemed like quite the duo, they were rarely separated.

Hawks was keenly aware of the villains steadily growing in numbers against him, and he eagerly looked around to see Endeavour and Manual come crashing through to help him out.

Then, there he was, the black haired and scorched man known as Dabi. The most mysterious and reckless villain Hawks had ever encountered, he was terrifying on a much deeper level than just his exterior power. He seemed so familiar, yet so strange, not like anyone he had met before.

The surge of blue flames was impossible to dodge completely, and he hissed in pain as the boiling hot flames burned into his skin and wings.

His pushed himself forcefully off the ground, flying up in the air to escape the heat before his wings were burned to ashes.

He coughed through his previously congested lungs, cursing the fever reducing medication in his blood for already seeming to run out of its power.

He grabbed onto the cold steel of a lamppost, using the cylinder construction to swing around and move back into action.

Every move seemed to become heavier, and each time he blinked he could sense his heart lodging up and into his head.

Endeavour was taking on the duplico villain, and Hawks could see glimpses of heroes coming to their aid- both on land and in the sky.

Then, there he was again. with eyes as fiercely blue as his flames, Dabi launched yet another attack at the poorly hero. He was his target today, it seemed.

Hawks dodged, then dodged again when the villain had reloaded up his fire power far too quickly.

Steadily, the fighting grounds moved towards the city. The ruins of one of the school buildings laid across the ground, and more buildings were bound to crumble when Shigaraki kept on progressing through. What did they want?

Luckily, earaserhead had arrived and kept his quirk erased and at bay for as long as he could. Meanwhile, present mic was backing him up along with midnight and fatgum.

Keigo flew, high and low while punching out his own strikes and dodging the rest. Dabi surely could see him struggling, but suddenly the villain was gone. Instead, a flash of green greeted Hawks and spinner shot in to take Dabis place.

Swords and knives speared through the air in an attempt to reach the no. 3 hero, but he was not about to give in.

His arm was barely cut through, but the pain caught him off guard nonetheless. So much so, actually, that he suddenly went plummeting to the ground. He didn't have the energy to brace himself, turning to a rag doll of a man as he fell down the remaining 2 meters to meet the ground.

Gang orca made his first appearance just then, and while Hawks struggled to push himself upright after the fall, the villains were steadily guided away from him. He'd have to remember to thank him at a later occasion.

He pushed his palms into the moistened ground, teeth clamped together as he managed to crawl across the asphalt.

His ankle had been twisted in his fall, throbbing painfully as he attempted to step on it.

Warm blood trailed down his arm and onto the ground, and the substance made the ground feel sticky as he walked across it on all fours.

He found his little hide away in a dark alley, shielded away from the blasts of battle and dark enough to leave him out of sight. It felt like something had created a blockage in his throat, and while his stomach convulsed, his head disintegrated.

He scooted his body behind a couple of barrels, staring at the cold, muddled ground with an unfocused look in his eyes.

He had burns on his arms, but even so he suddenly felt like a living icicle. His teeth chattered, limbs shaking as a sour taste coated his tongue.

With wings fluttering in distress, Keigo started heaving over the ground, eyes burning with the headache pounding behind them.

Whatever he had in his stomach was soon pooling around his hands and knees. Each contraction resulted in a horrid gag, and in his side view he could see a dark shadow approaching him.

A part of him was praying to see Tokoyami, but his eyes were being clouded by black dots, and soon, he passed out.
