The bell had rung for lunch and you were walking towards was the cafeteria to have your meal. Around you, kids were getting shoved left, right and center. Why is everyone so violent? The school food isn't even that good... As you walk you feel a force pushing you against the wall. "Hey! I'm walking here!" You shout at the 16-year-old sprinting down the hall. You regain your balance, you see the kid that shoved you prior also ran into multiple other people. I hope Karma pays him back. You continue to walk down the hall.

A door opens next to you while you walk and you hear a teacher's shout from inside. "Don't run!" Too late. You stop behind the door to allow the herd of bulls to pass you. After the path is clear you continue to walk. "Y/N!" You hear a call from behind and turn around. Shino comes around the door that you stopped behind.

"Hey, Shino." You greet. "You're a bit late leaving the class."
"Ms. Chouno didn't have enough English papers so two of us had to wait for some to be printed."
"Where's the other person?" Once again, your godly powers of coincidence have struck you. As you say that, the other kid comes sprinting out of the classroom, knocking into both you and Shino.
"Slow down!" You hear Ms. Chouno shout as you see her leave the classroom. "Sorry about that, Ms. Asada, Mr. L/N." She apologizes as she walks with a quick pace to attempt to catch the kid who bumped into you both.

"You okay?" You ask Shino. But you notice something is off. Looking at the ground you find what you were looking for immediately. "You dropped your glasses." You pick them up and go to hand them to Shino. But hesitate. They're clear. Normally glasses would be blurry because of the prescription they had, but these are as clear as day.

"These are clear? Do you not need glasses?"
"No, actually. My eyesight is pretty good."
"Then why do you wear them?"
"Oh... It's because... It's quite a boring story. I'm sure you wouldn't want to hear it..." You can see the look on her face. Her face is full of apprehension and a slight bit of fear. You decide not to press further and leave the conversation there.

"So... Seeing as we're here, do you want to have lunch with me?" You ask.
"Sure. Let's go." You head to the cafeteria, Shino by your side.

You take a seat at an empty table and Shino sits opposite. Behind her, you see the two boys that bumped into you before getting scolded by one of the teachers. "Serves them right." Shino turns around smirks at the two. "Oh? Are you perhaps enjoying the Karma those two received?" You tease.
"Maybe a little." She laughs.

"Y/N? Have you heard of the Bullet of Bullets?"
"Yeah. Akira told me about it yesterday. He also mentioned that you got joint first the last tournament. You must be amazing if you can get joint first."
"Not really. I've just been playing for a while is all. So back to BoB. After today, I won't be on ALO for a while. I'm going to be on GGO to train up for the tournament."
"That's cool. I was thinking of entering myself so I guess we can train together."

"What?! I mean, it's that I don't want you to join but, should you? You've only played GGO twice."
"True. But if you train me, I'll be one of the pros in no time."
"You're giving me way too much credit."
"Am I? You got joint first! Think of all the people you beat!" Shino stops. "C'mon. Please?" She furrows her brow.
"Fine. You're starting to get on my nerves, you know."
"What? Little ol' me? I would never!"
"Uh-huh..." Not long after, Akira comes walking up from behind you.

"Well, well, well. I see the two love birds are having a date. I don't mean to intrude." He goes quiet. Staring at both of your faces, expecting... Something. "Really? No 'shut up' or anything?"
"I'm used to it by now. Sorry." You smirk at him. Akira has pulled this on you so many times that you've learned that he enjoys your annoyed expression. So to stop this: don't act annoyed.
