You leave the school building with Shino and Akira at your side. "Will you both be on GGO tonight?" You ask them.
"I should be," Akira answers. "I don't have any other plans."
"Same here," Shino said. "What about you?"
"Eh, depends." You said.
"On what?"
"On-" Just as you were about to finish, an all too familiar car pulls up in front of the school gates. You point to it. "On that." Inside the car was two individuals. A man and a woman. They were both your parents.

The driver's window slowly opens, and your greets you. "Y/N! I thought me and your mom would pick you up from school." He turns his head slightly. "Akira! Long time no see. How have you been?"
"Hey Mr. L/N. I've been pretty good."

You see your mom arc her head around your dad's broad shoulders. "You must be Shino!" She shouts. "It's so nice to meet you!"
"Nice to meet you too, Mrs. L/N, Mr. L/N." She waves at them and they both wave back.

Suddenly, your mom releases a huge gasp without warning, making you jump slightly. Akira snickers at this.
"I've got it!" She yells. "Why don't you two join us!"
"Join us?" Akira questions.
"That's a great idea!" Your dad interjects. "Us three were going to do something together, so how about you two join us?" The other two are a bit hesitant. "C'mon! It's been forever since we hung out, Akira!"
"And we want to know more about Shino, too!" Your mom pitches in. "Y/N told us you had a tournament coming up on Saturday, and I know you guys are training, but it's bad to do too much work! Please?"

"Alright." Akira gives in. "It has been a while since I've seen you two. Plus I don't really have other plans today apart from the training."
"Yes!" Your mom starts clapping her hands. "What about you, Shino? Can you join us?"
"It's okay. I wouldn't want to intrude on your outing,"
"Nonsense! We would be glad to have you!" Everyone turns back to Shino, all eyes on her. You could tell how uncomfortable she must feel.
"A-Alright, I'll-"
"Yay!" She repeated, once again, clapping her hands, but a little louder this time. "Well, hop in then!" All three of you turn to each other and shrug your shoulders before entering the car.

"So, uh... Where are we going?" You ask them.
"We're glad you asked!" Your dad begins. "We're going to a waterpark!"
"Hell yeah!" Akira shouts.
"Um... I'm sorry to burst your bubbles, but none of us brought swimsuits."
"Hell no!" Akira (again) yells.
"Which is why we're going shopping!" Your mom explains.
"Hell yeah!" You can already guess who that is.

"Which waterpark are we going to?" You ask.
"Yomiuri Land, the biggest waterpark in Tokyo!"
"Hell-"
"Please, stop." You say to Akira calmly.

Both you and Akira have already picked your swimsuits from the shop. Your parents had brought theirs with them, so all that was left was Shino. She was choosing her swimsuit along with your mom. You could imagine how awkward that must be: choosing swimwear with your friend's mom whom you just met. You cringe at the thought and send your regards telepathically to Shino.

Soon enough, Shino and your mom meet back up with you. Something was off, though. Shino looked like she had mixed feelings between embarrassment and guilt and your mom looked slightly downcast. Confused, you pull Shino aside to ask what happened.

"What was going on when you came back to us?" You whispered to her.
"Nothing much. Your mom was just... Really insistent."
"How?"
"She kept on offering really fancy swimsuits to me. I said no. Then she offered to buy a swimsuit for me. I declined again." She explained. "I kept telling her I didn't need anything fancy because I have a swimsuit at home, then I told her she doesn't need to buy my swimsuit because I didn't want to waste her money. That's what made her sad."
"Alright... I'll talk to my mom, see if she can lay it down a bit." She nods. With how forceful mom's being, I have a feeling she has an ulterior motive.
