five months had passed since Leona left for Afterglow Savannah but things were getting a little stressful for you without the aid of your husband but it was nothing you couldn't handle also you had changed the style of your hair just for fun and you got it cut short

you were very excited to see Leona's reaction to it though he wouldn't be home for another while also as of late you began feeling sick every now and again also seeming to gain a bit of weight but you didn't think anything of it and another development happened Kokoa fully grew his baby tooth though it was sharp and was crawling same with Cheka he lost some of his baby teeth and you gave him a special little box to put them in so he wouldn't lose them.
Cheka was playing on the carpet with Kokoa and you came sitting in the chair watching them as you were also doing some embroidery to make a handkerchief for Leona with his name along with the names of you and the children it was a sweet and simple gift for all his hard work and him doing his best sure it was hard at times managing the kingdom and looking after the children but you managed even had Epel or Kalim come over to watch them at times especially when you were at meetings with the ministers or having public announcements
you sighed and looked down at your needlework before setting it down in the basket next to you then you called both Cheka and Kokoa over since it was time for dinner and you took them to the dining room as the Royal chef brought out the food setting it onto the table tonight was a meal of mashed potatoes and roast beef along with green beans and for dessert a light chocolate pudding but Cheka wanted whipped cream on his and you gladly got it for him
Cheka smiled brightly "It's so yummy!"
you smiled but then looked over at the empty spot where Leona would be and you felt a hint of sadness you knew if he was here he would've loved the roast beef it was his favorite dish
you sighed but then looked to see Kokoa had made a mess of his pudding in which you quickly wiped his mouth before you took him out the high chair and held him in your arms
you giggled "that's enough pudding for you sweetheart"
Cheka wiped off his mouth then you picked him up as well before going upstairs to the nursery and Cheka put his head on your shoulder "Mommy can you sing me to sleep"
you nodded "of course just let me get you and your cousin dressed for bed"
you had gotten used to Cheka calling you mommy it made you feel happy though a little bit sad since the passing of his mother but you were his aunt and now guardian so you'd love him like a son as you always have
you went into the nursery changing Kokoa's diaper before putting him in his onesie and putting him in his crib then you got Cheka into his new pajamas before tucking him in bed then you held him close as you sang him to sleep "when the north wind...meets the sea...there's a river...full of memory...sleep my darling safe and sound...for in this river all is found..."
you stroked his ears as you sang and soon you looked to see that he was asleep and you smiled warmly before you kissed his cheek and got up quietly then you went over to Kokoa giving him a kiss on the forehead then you turned off the light leaving the nursery before going to your bedroom and you got undressed into your nightgown before brushing out your hair then you sat on the bed looking around knowing if Leona was here he'd be asleep alright and want to cuddle
you smiled to yourself before laying down and you brought the covers over yourself but you laid there before turning over and you put your hand on the empty spot where he would be but then you felt very sick in your stomach and you put your hand on the spot feeling that it was bumpy then you sat up feeling it one more time and you lifted up the covers to see that there was a bump in which you gasped and started to cry a little.
In Afterglow Savannah Leona was just getting ready for bed but he walked around the palace for a little as his mind was full and he thought about you which brought a smile to his face but then as he leaned against a pillar he looked up at the night sky and he named the constellations it made him think back to when he brought you there for the first time and on that night he confessed his undying love for you and he smiled remembering that evening
"it's awhile since then huh..."
he took a deep breath and exhaled "I'm sorry...my love you're probably working hard too I promise I'll come home as soon as I can...".
