Laying on the couch, Susannah read the Bendy book Allison had found, she and Henry were out to scavenge for more supplies.
Tom walked over and sat next to her. She glanced up at him.
'Do you need anything?' she read in his eyes.
"No thanks, I'm fine."
'What... Did Bendy do anything to you? Did he hurt you?'
"No. He just frightened me, that's all."
Tom nodded and brushed his overalls.
'Why was Sammy with you?'
"He was meant to look after me while Bendy was away," she explained, leaning on his shoulder.
Tom nodded, his eyes wide with surprise at her affectionate action.
She kept reading her book, and her eyelids closed.
Tom didn't know how to deal with kids, but he sat there for a while, her soft breathing making her stomach fall up and down.
He too fell asleep, his head resting on her hair.
Henry and Allison had been out for too long.
After being chased by the Ink Demon, they found their way back to the safehouse, to find Tom and Susannah curled up asleep.
"Aww," Allison whispered. "That's so cute."
Henry nodded. "I think we should leave them, don't you?"
The angel gave him a thumbs up. She tip-toed over and found a blanket. Throwing it over the two, they snuggled closer together.
Allison had to shove her fist into her mouth to stop herself from giggling, laughing, or cooing.
Henry didn't know what.
Susannah stretched a little and felt a weight on the top of her head. She also felt it stretch as well. She was warm, comfortable and content, then the person next to her stood up.
She groaned as she fell onto her side and opened her eyes, Tom was standing over her.
'Are you alright?' his eyes flicked over her.
"Yeah, I'm okay."
Tom relaxed and walked over to the shelf, a little flustered.
"I-I'm sorry for falling asleep on you," she said as she watched him open a tin of bacon soup.
'Why are you sorry?' The wolf looked up from what he was doing.
"I thought you were upset..."
'Not at all. It's just I'm not used to affection.'
"You poor thing," she stood up and walked over to him, wrapping her arms around him.
He widened his eyes, then smiled at her. He clapped his hand on her shoulder.
Tom continued to make their breakfast, and the two sat in silence.
Susannah rubbed her eyes. "How long have you and Allison been here for?"
'No idea. All I know is I've been down here for more than a month.'
She nodded. "You know, it's quite amazing that I can have a whole conversation with just your eyes."
Tom opened his mouth and his shoulders bounced in laughter.
"It's true! Are you sure that you're not telepathic?"
Tom nodded. 'Otherwise, I would be able to read your thoughts. I just have expressive eyes.'
"'Expressive' is right! I can make out words!"
His shoulders bounced again.
Henry opened the door and smiled at the two, Allison followed him in.
"Did you enjoy your sleep?" The Alice Angel asked.
Tom began to eat his soup quicker, his eyes widened with nervousness.
Susannah nodded.
"You must've been tired," Henry commented.
"I guess."
