I apologize if you have a high tolerance for alcohol, to the point you're never drunk. I tried my best to make it fit for both low tolerant and high tolerant drinkers.

The song was originally in Japanese, but I based the lyrics off of an English translation made for people who wish to sing English covers (because English translations not made for covers don't have the right rhythm like a cover's lyrics do).

I also had to change the pronouns mentioned in the song (from "him" to "them"). I normally try to avoid using pronouns so the reader can still remain gender-neutral while readers with "she" and "he" pronouns can still feel included, but the song said no. 😔

Also yeah singing is cheesy but it's cute.

You drank another glass of the drink Asmo offered you. You both were in one of the karaoke rooms, Levi screaming out words to his favorite anime openings while everyone else sat back and watched. The avatar of lust had gotten a special membership from the staff and ordered alcoholic drinks from the human world, as Demonus doesn't affect humans.

Setting your glass cup down, you gazed at your boyfriend drowsily, who was swigging the drinks like nothing. How many cups have you drunk?

Oh well. You shrug and proceed to pour yourself another cup. Your mind is foggy, your senses are dulling, but that doesn't stop you from downing another three whole cups.

"(Y/n)!" Asmo said, seemingly unaffected by the drinks. "It's time for you to sing!" Levi had gone to the restroom for the moment.

"I don't think... you'll want to hear me sing," you drawl out, words slurred from the heavy drinking.

"Come on! It'll be fun! You can choose the song to sing! I'll order more drinks if you sing!

Agreeing immediately upon hearing the offer, you pick the song and held the microphone up.

"Don't blame me for my choice," you said, a slight smile on your face. Asmo smiled back, phone up ready to record.

You took in a deep breath and began to sing.

"How I wish this tired tragedy was just a fading dream. 

Even now wrapped in the darkness you're the light calling to me. 

Dusting off the happy memories a feeling comes to mind,

Like returning to a better time when I had called you mine."

You paused before continuing onto the next stanza.

 "It was you who taught me many things and helped me on my way.

There're joys here in this wide world that could never be replaced.

All the pain that I had hid away and buried out of sight.

It was only by your gentle touch they ever came to light.

Any more than I did that day.

Your voice became louder to match with the song.

"Even all the tears that we were shedding,

Even now I still can smell that bitter sweetened scent of lemon on my heart.
