Nick’s Pov

Katatapos lang ng meeting ko with mr. Akimoto. Hindi nagging maganda ang kinalabasan non, I wasn’t able to convince mr. Akimoto na sa akin na lang ibenta ang share niya sa kompanya ko. I should be bothered by now, but hell! I just can’t feel that way! Masiyado akong masaya dahil sa mga nangyari kaninang umaga to feel negative. I’m getting married! Goodness. It might sound gay, but it’s really like a dream come true.

Napangiti ako ng maalala ang mga pangyayari kaninang umaga. That’s one of the moment I will never ever forget.

Dati, I always see those lovesick people as fools. They’re a slave of their own emotions which they’re suppose to reign. Pero ngayon, I understand how they feel.

I was on my way pababa ng building ng makasalubong ko si Lucio. My eyebrows narrowed with curiousity. What is he doing in here? Hindi niya siguro ako nakita dahil nagtuloy tuloy lang ito sa paglalakad hanggang makasakay ito sa elevator. Tiningnan ko kung saang floor siya aakyat, and realized na sa floor iyong kung saan naroon ang opisina ni Mr. Akimoto.

Something stinky is really happening, and I can clearly see the connections.

Montero, Lianna and Lucio. Tsk. I’m not stupid.

I fished for my phone inside my pocket at tsaka tinawagan si Luz habang naglalakad palabas ng building.

“Hello sir?”

“Book me a flight to Chicago, I want it ASAP.” hindi na ako nagpaligoy-ligoy pa.

“Yes sir.”

I ended the call. I was about to put it back inside my pocket when someone called. Tiningnan ko kung sino ang caller. It’s my mom. I slide my phone to answer the call.

“Yes mom?” I answered lamely. Hindi ko nagustuhan ang ginawa niyang pagtrato kay Shiinel. Well, that reminds me na kailangan ko rin palang ayusin ang tungkol sa kanilang dalawa. I can’t go on with my plans, not when I know that my mother and fiancé are in feud.

“Are you busy? Can you go over here for lunch? Isama mo narin si Rui, I really miss that grandson of mine. Nag-shopping kasi ako kahapon and I think he’ll like the gadget I bought him.” I can imagine her beaming on the phone. That’s my only consolation. Yung alam kong tanggap at mahal ng pamilya ko ang apo niya. Who wouldn’t love Rui anyway?

I look at my watch. It’s just quarter to ten. Maaga pa naman kaya pwede sigurong sunduin na lang namin ni Shiinel si Rui sa school at tsaka dideretso sa bahay.

“Okay mom, we’ll be there.”

“Thank you son, I’ll wait for you here.” Then she hung up.

I put my phone back to my pocket at tsaka nagpatuloy sa paglalakad. I can’t wait to see my Shiinel. Yes SHE’S MINE … and mine alone.

Shiinel’s

Kasalukuyan akong naglilinis ng bahay. Hindi kasi ako pinapasok ni Nick.  Ewan ko ba sa lalaking yun.  Baka daw makasalubong ako ng gwapo at ipagpalit ko siya. Tss,  ang childish talaga.  Magpapakasal na nga kami tapos ganon pa ang iniisip niya.

I smiled with the thought.  Yes, I'm getting married to Nickolas Allen Sobremonte,  a multi-millionaire, owner of NAS, the father of my son, and the man I love.  I just can't wish for more.

I look at the ring he gave me.  It's so beautiful,  pero kahit siguro pwet ng baso tatanggapin ko kung siya ang nagbigay.  The ring screams with elegance and extravagance. With its design and diamonds sparkling all over,  kahit sino ay maaakit.
