After playing with Shibisu for a little bit longer, Khuns phone started ringing.
"Sorry Shibisu..."
"It's Bam isn't it? Don't worry, you guys go make up. It was fun playing together again though, we should do this again some time."
Disconnecting from the chat, Khun answered his phone without speaking letting Bam go first.
"Hey... you still mad?"
"...No..."
"Oh that's good! I went home and you weren't there so I got worried."
The sound of traffic in the background of the call intrigued Khun as it meant Bam certainly wasn't at home anymore.
"Where are you?"
"....Would you be upset if I said I was outside your apartment building?"
"You idiot! What are you doing outside, get up here!"
He gave the code for the building to Bam so he could let himself in, Khun then went and stood by his front door, waiting for the bell to ring. Bam barely had chance to press the bell before Khun had opened the door, dragged him inside and wrapped his arms around Bams waist, burying his head against Bams neck. The door gently shut behind them.
Surprised by the sudden hug, it took Bam a moment to react and put his own arms around the blue haired boy clinging to him.
"I'm sorry..."
"What for?"
The apology bewildered Bam, he was expecting to have to grovel for Khuns forgiveness.
"You were just trying to do what was best for us. I was being unfair."
A surge of emotion overwhelmed Bam as he tightened his hold on his partner.
"I should be the one apologising, not you."
They stayed in each others arms for a while longer.
"Haaah, this feels nice."
Khun glanced up to see what Bam meant.
"When we're here we don't need to worry about interruptions."
Chuckling, Khun agreed and made a proposal.
"Then just stay here."
From then on Khun and Bam spent most of their time at Khuns apartment. There were times that Bam had to go home, like for his streams and Khun would occasionally accompany him but, for the most part, they spent their time together in Khuns home. Bam was given a spare key so he could come and go as he pleased, Bam did the same for Khun for his apartment, in case he ever needed it. It was a big relief on their relationship, no more stressing that Rachel and all her viewers would walk in on something inappropriate.
Bam rarely being home did have other consequences though. Rachel soon started questioning why he was never home, it was very inconvenient for her vlogs. He told her that he was hanging out with some streamer friends more often and would usually pass out after hours of gaming at one of their houses. Initially Rachel didn't buy it but, after getting Bam to agree to a routine of vlogs twice a week, she happily accepted his lies.
"Twice a week!?"
"Yeah..."
"That means two more days I won't be able to see you..."
Khun pouted at this news. Admittedly, having two whole days a week dedicated to Rachels vlogs was less time than before when Rachel would storm his apartment, but Khun had enjoyed the past couple of weeks where Bam hadn't appeared in Rachels vlogs at all - mainly as he was never in his apartment when Rachel decided to turn up and vlog.
"Sorry Khun."
He could see Bam was torn, wanting to help his dear friend but also not wanting to upset his boyfriend.
"You know she's only using you for views right?"
"That's not true!"
Khun had to stop himself from pushing further. He remembered the conversation he had had with Shibisu. It was true that he certainly thought Rachel was only using Bam but he also didn't want to upset the brunette, wanting to trust his judgement instead.
"Whatever. Do what you want."
This was a conversation that would repeat itself a few times over the next few weeks. Everytime Bam had to bail on their alone time it was because Rachel had summoned him. Khun would make his point and then bite his tongue as Bam defended the girl. As much as Khun wanted to be the reasonable person in their relationship, it was starting to grate on his nerves.
During the times Bam was away appearing on Rachels vlogs, Khun would mostly use the time to either do impromptu streams or see his friend Shibisu. On the occasions he was feeling particularly depressed about the situation, he would torture himself further by watching the live vlog.
For the most part, it would be fine. It was the sly comments, the little intimate touches that really got to Khun. Bam didn't respond to any of them which was both a positive and a negative in itself. Whilst Bam didn't encourage the relationship or lead any of the behaviour, he also didn't deny or stop it. It was horrible for Khun having to watch another person openly flirting with his boyfriend. It was even worse having to read the comments from the viewers who had their own opinions.
- Wow, don't you think they are just the cutest couple
- They aren't dating right?
- They say they aren't dating but it's obvious they are
- I want someone to love me as much as Viole obviously loves Rachel
When the comments got too much, Khun would log off the stream and convince himself that nothing was going on. Everything would be fine, they were just friends. Knowing just how much Rachel meant to Bam was the only thing allowing Khun to keep it together.
Some nights, after the vlog had ended Bam would come home to Khuns apartment where the blue haired boy would be waiting for him to return and immediately cling to him. The brunette, not realising the cause of this behaviour, loved those nights where Khun would give him his undivided love and attention.
The times that Bam didn't return to his boyfriends apartment, Khun would drink until he fell asleep knowing he would be awake all night if he didn't.
It all came to a head after the couple had been dating for about two months.
One night, when Bam was featuring in a Q&A stream with Rachel, Khun started drinking a little earlier than he usually would, knowing Bam would be staying in his own apartment that night. He sat on the floor leaning against the couch with his laptop open on the coffee table. It being a Q&A with the viewers, he expected plenty of questions about the two's relationship. Khun trusted his boyfriend, he knew Bam would be clear and deny everything, it was Rachel he didn't trust.
And rightly so, the questions about Rachel and Bam soon came pouring in. As Khun expected, Bam denied everything but Rachel would only say non-comittal comments.
"Bam and I have a special relationship. We really do mean a lot to each other. Honestly, I don't know what I'd do without him."
Khun, already well on his way to being drunk, scoffed at this.
"Ha! As if, bitch! You don't know what you'd do because you'd lose all of your viewers!"
Continuing to drink, Khun made comments like this to himself throughout the whole stream, by the time the vlog had ended he had already passed out on his living room floor.
Because of this, he didn't hear the person entering his apartment.
"Hey honey, I'm home!"
Bam cheesily called out as he walked through the apartment, checking the rooms as he went. Spotting the light shining out from the lounge, he rushed through stupidly grinning.
"Surprised to see m-!? Woah, Khun!?"
