Chapter Five- How could I let this happen?

Percy's P.O.V

Long Island Sound

Camp Half Blood

Big House

I still can't believe I let such a thing happen to my sister who I just met. "Please tell me someone brought her in?" I asked Chiron

"Yes, the Hypnos cabin made her fall asleep and had Clarisse carry her in, she's in a room upstairs"

I instantly stood up from the couch I was sitting on "I have to go help her! I have to be by her side"

"Perseus that is not recommended right now" Chiron said "we wouldn't want to set her off"

"Well then what are we going to do?" I asked in an annoyed tone "She obviously needs help"

"Lady Artemis has agreed to come and speak with her. It may come to her having to join the Hunters of Artemis" Chiron looked at me solemnly

"B-but I just met her!" I groaned "It's not fair"

"Was it fair for you to have fought the titan lord at sixteen?" He asked in an accusing tone

"No" I grumbled

"If it makes you feel any better I don't think she will join"

"I hope not" I sighed

"Now go back to your cabin" Chiron patted me on the back awkwardly "I believe your father is waiting for you"

"Hmm" I nodded and left

Katerina's P.O.V

Long Island Sound

Camp Half Blood

Big House

"Where am I?" I grumbled and sat up "Who's there?" I saw a girl across from me, she looked about my age and had a very regal, but natural beauty. But she was kind of- glowing?

"I am Lady Artemis" the voice came from a glowing woman "Goddess of the Moon, Maidens, and Hunt" she smiled towards me

"But I'm not a maiden, an animal, or the moon" I sat up in the bed I was in "and aren't you a little young to be a goddess?"

"I can give you your virtue back" she said kindly "I do know what happened to you dear."

"Why are you here? Did Perseus send you?" I asked warily, she didn't answer my question about her age but I just brushed it off

"No" she said, her tone now serious "I am at no mans beck and call"

I nodded "So you came here of your own choice?"

"Well you are my niece, are you not?"

I shook my head "I don't know what I am" my knees were pulled up to my chest, and my feet were bouncing up and down, I'm not nervous. Just- just paranoid?

The goddess looked at me oddly, I couldn't read her face. "I want you too train with my hunters. I know it may be hard for you to trust me, but I promise you no one here wants to hurt you."

"What about Poseidon?" I looked the goddess in the eye

"He cares for you, he just made a mistake" Artemis said in a kind whisper "My Uncle is anything but perfect"

I shook my head and changed the subject "so would I have to be a huntress to train with them?"

"You would be an honorary member" she said "Thalia would love you"

I nodded "I met her"

"Well then let's get you to my cabin, shall we?"

I smiled weakly "sure"

Annabeth's P.O.V

Long Island Sound

Camp Half Blood

Cabin Three

"Percy don't beat yourself up" I told my boyfriend "it's not your fault" I had recently found Percy crying in cabin three

"I could've, I should've" I cut him off

"Percy she will be fine. It's not your fault"

"But-"

"No." I said firmly "if anything it's Poseidon's fault"

"Annabeth there has to be something I did wrong!" Percy was yelling at me

"It wasn't your fault!" I screamed "hammer that into your thick skull!"

"Sorry" he mumbled "I feel so, so"

"I know seaweed brain" I grabbed Percy's hand "but we'll figure it out. Okay?"

"Okay" he smiled at me sadly
