"Would you like to register for a match right now!?" The receptionist asked with a bunch of enthusiasm.
The three glanced at eachother
"Because, this level has a self-serve system, you are allowed 90 days of preparation before a fight!" She informed.
"PERFECT! Then I won't schedule anything. I'm done here" Vera walked off leaving the two to just look at her in confusion.
"Uh, Vera where are you headed off too?" Gon called and she just shrugged.
"My room I'm Tired." She lied, she was more or less bored with the day and wasn't feeling well
Killua and Gon looked at eachother before back at the receptionist leaving her to continue.
Vera walked around the corner twirling her key on her finger as she approached her room.
She placed her key in its lock and turned it unlocking the door.
She sighed putting her bag down on her floor as she continued to walk. She was hit by a blast of air forcing her hair to literally FLY in her face.
"Damn.. I miss having short hair." Vera shook her head making her hair fall back into place. "Do they have scissors-" she pondered before she heard a knock at her door.
"Who the fuck is at my door. It's too fucking late" she cursed as she walked towards it and opened it only to reveal Rin fucking Okumura.
She groaned "As if my day couldn't get any WORSE" she whined
"Woah, calm down Jamal. Don't pull out the nine" he waved his hands and she just walked away from the door as he let himself in.
"What do you want?" She walked into the bathroom as she tied her hair in a low ponytail searching through the drawers.
"Nothing much, just got bored" Rin closed the door walking towards her "Whatcha doin?"
"Cutting my hair." Vera responded blankly before her eyes lit up finding scissors within her bag.
"Wha- why?"
"If your gonna be dry get the fuck out" Vera hissed as she began to snip at her hair.
"Damn okay- it's just.. kind of awkward now you know?" Rin sighed rubbing the back of his neck "I really am sorry."
She whipped her head around to look at him and paused. Rin didn't make eye contact thinking he probably hit a nerve- which he did. And right now Vera is dealing with shit and she does not need Rin's sucky apologies.
"I don't care anymore." She retorted before turning back and cutting the rest of her hair to shoulder length.
"You still seem mad though?" He slightly raised his voice fully stepping into the bathroom.
"Oh I'm sOOOO sorry that it's taking me a while to forgive you because you aren't on my mind 24/7 out of the fucking day. I have other shit to do Rin. Just leave me alone." Vera let out a harsh breath
"Well your on mine 24/7 trying to find the right way to say sorry! I've been trying so fucking hard for you! And your not even going to give me a second thought!?" Rin raised his voice waving his hands as he himself became angry at the smaller girl.
"Oh for fucks sake Rin! You think it's that damn easy?! Just to.. forgive you and put all my trust back in you!? That's not possible for me!? Of course I'm trying you idiot! I have too much shit to worry about than your damn apology!"
"Vera it's been weeks!-"
"Yea weeks Rin. It takes more than a mere two weeks to forgive someone! Your pushing it right now."
"I'm pushing it?! Your the one being mad over some little petty shit!"
"I'm being petty?! Your so damn immature! I fucking hate you! Get the fuck out of my room and don't fucking come back!" She growled as she pointed towards the door.
"You know, you and your mom are exactly the same." He snapped as he left the room in annoyance.
He opened the door only to see Gon and Killua standing on the other side, their eyes wide with a look of disappointment.
"Dude that was so wrong." Killua furrowed his eyes brows as Rin finally realized he went to far with it.
As Gon could hear the soft cries of the girl he pushed past Rin and ran inside after her.
"I.. should apologize.." Rin sighed as he turned but Killua grabbed his wrist and shook his head.
"No you shouldn't" he growled "Leave her alone."
Rin paused looking at Killua with a bit of a surprised look.
"Go." He demanded as Rin slowly walked away and Killua walked inside the girls room closing the door.
"Gon?" He called
"The bathroom" Gon said back as killua walked into the bathroom to find Gon and the girl on the floor.
