The crowd began to cheer as Travis and the muscular blonde boy threw blows for each other. From what I was seeing, neither boys were winning and neither boys were losing. Both were getting their share of buises and blows.

A new group of muscular looking boys rushed into the circle where Travis and the blonde boy still fought. They all began to attack Travis. Now there were six boys against Travis. About nine new boys joined the fight. Horror masked my face.

Thankfully, I saw that it was Sloan and Kent in the fight so I guessed that it meant those were footballers. Good, now Travis had nine boys on his side. Clearly the others boys were outnumbered ten to six.

The same bald head man from earlier came to the circle trying to stop the chaos. The boys paid no attention to him. I saw blood on the floor and began to panic. What if it was Travis' blood that was pouring on the floor?

I began to hyperventilate. My fingers became numb and a sharp pain developed in my chest. I clenched my chest and dropped to the floor. Laughter escaped my throat. I tried to stop it but it came flowing out of my mouth like water.

An alarming headache overcame me. I still clenched my heart as I swayed on the floor. From the little that I could notice, I could see that the crowd had their attention on me now. Travis was walking towards me.

Dizziness filled my mind. I fell forward on my face. Pain shot through me.

"Dakota!" I heard Travis shout as he knelt down beside me. He must have said it really loud if I heard it.

I felt Travis turn me around to lay on my back instead of my stomach. Worry filled his eyes. His deep blue eyes were the last thing I saw before darkness devoured me.

I opened my eyes slowly. Travis' handsome face was the first thing I saw as my eyesight reajusted from its state of darkness. A smile cornered my lips at the sight of him.

"Dakota. I was so worried about you." Travis welcomed me into his huge grasp.

I chuckled, "Wow."

I looked around. We were still in school. I realized that I was being rushed away on something below me. A tall dark man with black wavy hair stood beside me.

He held a small flashlight in his hand which he flashed in my eyes. I blinked rapidly to get rid of the dark blotches it left in my eyesight.

"Everything seems okay. Just a minor case of hyperventilation. You're lucky miss. This could have been serious." He gave me a stern look.

I forced a smile. "Yes sir."

The man looked around before shouting, "We need someone to accompany her with us to the hospital."

"I'll do it. She trusts me." Travis offered.

The man looked at him, "It seems like you need some attending to as well. We'll work on you in the ambulance. Jump in."

I felt the gurney I was rested in go up an incline. The man closed the ambulance door. The vehicle started and began to move.

Travis sat quietly in the corner of the ambulance, his eyes never moving off of me.

I sighed, "Are you going to be like that for the entire trip?"

Travis didn't answer. I looked at him.

"It's all my fault."  He whispered to himself.

I looked at him confused. "Oookaay?" I dragged the word.
