Flower crowns

[Fluff, Soft, Flower Crowns, Aether  being a babysitter, A tiny amount of Angst.] Aether and the Kiddos go to make some flower crowns and make an unexpected friend.

to say he's surprised, would make aether a liar.

his left pinky clutched by one of klee's hands and his right clutched by both of qiqi's, he was being dragged along a field of flowers, the kiddos wanted to make a flower crown, or really alot of flower crowns.

"oh these look good!" klee squeaked, bouncing on the balls of her feet as she she pointed with a tiny hand where a patch of qingxin and silk flowers were. without even saying anything else she took off instantly , by herself, right over to the large field of flowers.

"wha-! klee hold on!" aether took off after her, momentarily feeling bad for startling a yelp out of qiqi who was kinda spaced out, but she quickly ran with the blonde boy.

"this is perfect! they're pretty colors for a flower crown!" the little elf girl squealed, instantly tearing her bag off to run around like a little squirrel on meth gathering the pretty flowers.

the red and off whitish flower really did go together well, and it also smelled really good .

"i wanna help too..." qiqi let aether's bigger hand go kinda hesitantly, slowly walking over to help klee, blinking rapidly when the red clothed girl shoved a bunch of flowers into her arms with a giggle.

aether, not to keen on picking flowers really, chose to turn and take a few steps backwards to lean in the shade under a big tree, content with watching the little ones. sighing, it made him miss his sister looking at all the flowers, knowing he was closer to finding her each day, the floral scents reaching his nose just reminding him of her love for wearing flowers in her hair.

"we did it!" klee squealed , startling poor aether.

honestly he spaced out so much he literally missed both of the girls speed running basically right through the process of making the damn things. he did notice with a hint of concern the way a bead of sweat rolled down qiqi's forehead, the sun blaring down her  right in the middle of the field, she was so focused on watching klee's demonstration of how to make the crown she didn't even notice.

"hey kiddos- why don't you both sit in the shade over here!" aether gently called , he knew the zombie girls element was ice, but it seemed to be just a melting affect to her always icy skin in the sun.

"ok!" klee smiled, jumping up and helping the other girl to get up as well, qiqi seemed to topple over a little for a second but stood right back up stiffly and grabbed half the pile they picked too. "oops klee almost forgot her bag!"

when the elf girl was just about to pick it up, "o-oh.. that's not good.." klee was quick to turn around to ask qiqi what she had meant , but doing so she understood quick enough.

approaching the tree from behind where aether happened to be resting against, a mitachurl with a giant axe seemed to be purposefully stomping his way over.

"aether look! its a big fuzzy monster!" klee squealed with a smile , ignoring the blonde who whipped around in alarm, she ran right for the mitachurl but qiqi reached out and grabbed her hood just in time.

"wait..klee i don't think that's a good..good idea." klee pouted , watching aether take out his sword ready to fight it, she didn't want the fluffy guy to get hurt!

but what  shocked all of them was when instead of instantly charging at the small group, the mitachurl stopped a few feet away, grumbling some sentence at aether who still standing guard only looked on in confusion.

"umm.." what does he do? he doesn't speak hilichurl? the mita grumbled again, this time pointing a big finger(?) at klee, or more specifically what she was holding.

"huh?" klee looked down at the flower crown, "oh, oH! here mr.fluffymonster!"

the little elf girl managed to slip out of the zombie girls hold super quick, if not anything but sneaky, as she ran full force up to mita.

"wait klee-" aether tried to grab her, heart pounding in his chest because he wasn't interested in seeing a child get punted across the field today, "that's maybe not a good idea!" he stressed.

it went right over her head as she happily ignored his warnings and skipped right up to the mita , which had its axe lowered and basically pointing at the ground.

aether sighed, battling mentally in his head if he should just let her get punted- no aether, bad, we don't let the baby get hurt. so he just reluctantly followed right behind , he might as well get wacked too.

he watched with baited breath as the mita huffed something in its language, literally flopping back on its butt, sitting down to lower its head towards klee.

oh my god she was gonna get eaten-

she placed the flower crown right around one its floppy bunny like ears. wha-

aether was dumbfounded, not even acknowledging qiqi walking right past him slowly, a fully red flower crown in her hands also, leaning up and placing it around the mitas other floppy ear.

it made a weird grumble noise, was it purring?!

he watched as the two girls giggled (mostly klee , qiqi just was happy staring at her reflecting in the shiny axe) , klee mostly bouncing around the mita, talking at rapid speeds while she shoved flowers into the main like fur also.

aether sighed heavily and dragged a hand down his face. this was weird. jean would kill him if she found out about this , but he honestly couldn't find the heart to tear the kiddos away from their new 'friend'.
