This one is mainly a filler, but it does explain some stuffs. Enjoy.

“Your projects need to be completed by next Friday. Any later is not acceptable. Understand?” The room echoed with a bunch of yeses…or however you spell the plural of yes.

We had to write a paper on a well-known crime in history. Didn’t matter when or where, it just had to be very well known. Amber and I were obviously a team, like always.

After school, we were walking down to the library. “Oh, I should probably call my mom.” Amber nodded. I pulled out my phone and dialed the number. Before I could press call, I heard a voice from behind us. “Would you mind if I accompany you?” We turned around and saw Ciel standing behind us. I tensed, but acted cheerful. “Of course! The more the merrier, right?” I looked at Amber.

Go with it.

Ugh…okay, fine…wait…

HOLY CRAP, YOU’RE IN MY HEAD!

Idiot, Tara’s a telepath, remember? That means you now have telepathy!

I do..oh, cool! I heard Amber sigh in my head as we kept on walking. “Oh, right, my mom!”

The phone went to voicemail, so I figured she was with the horses. “Hey, mum. Amber and I have this History project, so we’ll be a bit late to get home. No later than six, probably. Love ya. Bai~!” I hung up, and Amber asked, “Who are we doin’?” “Uh…” I gasped.

Imagine a little lightbulb going off above my head. Amber sighed. “What?” “We should totally do Jack the Ripper!” Ciel chuckled lightly from beside me. “What’s so funny?” Amber and I asked in unison. “I was going to do that case. If you want it, though, you are more than welcome.” “We could do it together…”

WHY THE HECK DID I SAY THAT?!

Ciel nodded. “Alright.”  Can I take that back?

Don’t think.

GAH!

At The Library

We sent Ciel on a wild goose chase, or wild book chase, so we could do our own research. “Here!” Amber whisper-yelled. She pointed to a paragraph. “A Faustian Contract? Are you sure?” Amber nodded., and began to read.

“A Faustian Contract, more commonly known as a “Deal with the Devil”, is a pact that a human makes with a demon. The human makes a wish, and the demon must assist in making it come true. In exchange, the demon gets the human’s soul.

The demon will mark the human as its prey. That’s probably why Ciel’s right eye looks purple. It must be the contract seal.” Amber shut the book and was about to put it back, when I grabbed her arm. “Let’s take it with us. It might be useful.” Amber nodded, and stuffed the book into her bag. We then went out of the “fiction” section, and went over to the front desk.

“Excuse me?” I asked the librarian. She looked down at me. “Yes?” “Where would books on “Jack the Ripper” be?” The librarian pointed to a section. We thanked her and went over, where we found Ciel reading a few books. So, we began as well.

I got on my tippy toes to try and put this one book away, but I slipped and fell. A few books fell around me. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed an open book. On the page was a picture.

It was in black and white. There were five people; three adults and two kids, all of which were dresses in Victorian clothing. The caption listed the names.

Angelina Dalles, Rachel and Vincent Phantomhive, Elizabeth Midford and…“Ciel?” I slammed the book shut and stuffed it into my bag. I ran back to the table, almost tripping, and slammed my hands onto the wood. I looked into Ciel’s only visible eye.

Why can’t I read his mind? I couldn't believe what he did next. What did he do? He smirked! I blinked, leaned back, and grabbed Amber. “My mom called, she wants us home. Let’s go.” I didn’t give her time to complain before I pulled her out the door.

Logan’s House-11:57

Amber was speechless when I showed her the picture. “But…that would mean…” “Ciel’s a demon, as well as Sebastian.” Amber looked up at me, worry and slight fear in her eyes. “Logan…what are we going to do?” “No clue.” I answered honestly.

I was scared half to death, and I’m sure Amber was too. “Monday at school, we’ll confront Ciel and Sebastian, okay?” The look on Amber’s face screamed “that’s a horrible idea”. “Hey, Tara’s a demon too, and if I’m getting her powers, that means I should be able to stand up to them. Besides, I don’t think they want to hurt me, or else they would have already. And, I really don’t think they’d try anything in a public place.” Amber nodded. “Okay.”
