This is mainly another filler that was supposed to be a chapter but Denny left so now it’s kind of a filler. Two more OCs join us, just ‘cause. Enjoy!

Logan’s POV

I opened my eyes slowly. It took me a minute to notice the man over Ciel and me. “Sebastian…” I groaned, and then…”Amber!” “She’s alright.” A female voice said. It was calm, like Sebastian’s, and she had an accent. I couldn’t quite detect what it was, though. I crawled out from under Sebastian and turned to the voice.

The woman had long, black hair, pale skin, and sapphire blue eyes. Her hair was up in a ponytail, and she wore a black halter top with a blue skirt, white gloves and black boots. She had an unconscious Amber in her arms.

I was about to ask what had happened, when someone was thrown through the wall. I let out a scream and ducked. “Whoops…sorry!” Another female voice said, walking through the hole.

She also had long black hair and pale skin, but her hair had red streaks all throughout it. Her eyes were charcoal black, and she wore somewhat of a ninja outfit, just without the mask. She had two daggers in her hands, the tips covered in a crimson liquid. I covered my mouth to keep from hurling.

“Seems you’ve been compromised.” The woman with blue eyes sighed. “Amentis.” She said, and I suspected that it was in another language. Her eyes landed on me, and she smirked. “Salve, Latara.” I blinked. “Eh?” I looked up at Sebastian for a translation. “Latin. She said hello.” “Oh…Salve.” She smiled and turned to the black/red haired woman. “We must get them out of here, cito.” The other nodded.

“Come on, we have someone you can hide out.” “What about-” “Don’t worry, they’re dead.” I swallowed hard and nodded, trying to get up, but fell back down. “Gah! My ankle…I think I twisted it.” Before anyone had a chance to speak, Sebastian picked me up and carried me to the car.

“Bakers Mansion. It’s been abandoned since 1912.” The charcoal eyed woman, whose named I learned to be Briar, explained, motioning to the three story, Greek looking building. Since we were found in Amber’s old house, Briar and Serena, the other woman, took us to where they had been hiding out.

When we got in, Sebastian put me down on a couch, while Serena took Amber upstairs. I went to get up and, to my surprise, my ankle had healed. Ciel smiled at my shock. “You have Regenerative Healing.” He stated, and I looked at him. “Oh…right.” I was still getting used to the whole thing, so I often forgot my newfound abilities.

I sat back down when Serena, Briar and Sebastian re-entered the room.

Apparently, Serena and Briar were both demons, too. Serena was a wolf demon, who had a contract with one of Ciel’s childhood friends, Gwyneth Wynter, and Briar was a Fox demon, who also knew Ciel and Sebastian in the Victorian Era.

And, Tara.

I never liked Serena much.

But she’s a wolf.

She’s formal.

I giggled softly, which no one seemed to care about.

“The situation is more dire than ever, now that other demons are hunting Tara.” I looked at Ciel, who had a cup of tea in his hand. Do I even want to know?

Nope.

“We must awaken Latara soon. She can protect herself.” I glared at the Earl. “Don’t I get a say in this?!” I yelled, standing up and slamming my fist on the table. “I mean, what happens to me if Tara fully awakens?” Ciel casually sipped some tea. “Well, from what we have come to believe, you and Latara will “Mind Meld”, meaning you will become one person. Since you are her anyway, there should not be any damage done.” “Should not?” Ciel looked up at me.

“Calm down. The worst possible scenario is that your psyche disappears.” My eyes widened and I growled. “So me fading from existence is the worst that can happen?! Yeah, that makes me feel better! I have a life, y’know! And my parents-” “You don’t have parents!” Ciel snapped, and I backed up. “W-what?”

He sighed. “You have no blood relation to your “parents”.” “That’s impossible! I’ve seen my birth certificate and-” “It’s fake.” I froze, and then glared at Ciel. “Explain.”

“Latara didn’t actually go missing. She vanished without a trace. No one knew what happened to her, except a woman by the name of Irene Adler.” “Destiny…” Ciel nodded, before continuing. “Latara had locked her essence in one of her most valuable possessions.” I brought my hand up to the chocker around my neck. “Why did she do it?”

“She was losing her grip on reality. Her demonic side was getting stronger, uncontrollable. To protect her loved ones, she locked herself up. But, she created a Failsafe, in case she was needed again.” And then it dawned on me.

“Me…she created me…” “A young girl who resembled herself at a young age. Obvious, yet inconspicuous.” I looked down. “She planted memories into everyone’s heads…I’m only actually been alive for a few years, right?” Ciel nodded again. “Anyone who has ever had any contact with you has already forgotten. You could walk into your school, and no one would know you.” My eyes darted to the stairs. “Amber…”

“She still knows you.” Briar spoke up. “Amber has a similar situation. Denny Yazz asked a dear friend of hers to lock her away as well, because her alien DNA was causing her to lose control at times.” I looked at the Fox Demon. “She asked Tara to do it, didn’t she?” Briar nodded. I felt tears form. “I-I need to be alone.” I turned on my heels and ran into the room I had claimed as mine.

After crying for about a half an hour, I fell asleep.

Third-Person POV

Long past midnight, Ciel walked into Logan/Tara’s room to check on her. He wasn’t surprised when he found her fast asleep. He walked over and knelt down beside her bed. Logan/Tara’s nose twitched, and she opened her eyes. Ciel’s eyes widened when he saw her eyes.

They had changed from brown/red to bright, blood red. She smiled, and Ciel took note that her canines were much sharper, and looked like fangs.

“Hey, Ciel.” She greeted sleepily. He smiled softly. “Hello. I’m sorry that I woke you.” She shook her head. “Don’t worry about it.” Logan/Tara yawned, causing Ciel to laugh lightly. “Did ya need somethin’?” “No. I only wanted to make sure you were well.” “Yeah, I’m fine.” “I’m glad.”

Ciel got up to leave, but Logan/Tara stopped him. “Ciel…” She asked, but her voice was off. “Ah can’t stay lahk this. Ah have to get back in mah body, or Ah don’t know if Ah’ll make it.” Ciel looked down at the floor. “We will find a way to fix this, I promise.” Tara smiled, before nodding. “Ah trust ya. G’night, Ciel.” “Good night.”
