While in Rochester someone fell asleep, 3 hours away in Riverdale someone was crying themselves to sleep. It was the Blossom kid, Cheryl Blossom. That redhead was HBIC of Riverdale. There was no family in the town that didn't know who the Blossoms were. Cheryl's great-grandfather had founded Riverdale and built a maple syrup empire.

Cheryl had another nightmare about her dead brother Jason. She tried to stay calm. Cheryl didn't want to wake up her horrific mother. Earlier that day her mother told her about a girl coming to Riverdale to live with them.

Flashbacks                                                                                                                                                                    Cheryl was taking off her make-up when her mother entered the room without knocking.

"What do you want?" Cheryl asked without moving her head. She wasn't in the mood of having one more argument.

"Well, I wouldn't enter the room without having to say something important since I don't wanna see your face. Anyway my business partner, Mr. Topaz is coming from Rochester to have a  dinner in two days. He is going to be with his daughter. His daughter is going to live with us for two months at least. Be nice to her. We need to make a good impression so I will get this contract signed. Don't you dare causing any kind of problems. You were the one who burned down Thornhill. Cheryl, you cant even imagine what will I do to you if you do not make sure our guest is satisfied. Don't forget to give her a tour and show Riverdale in the best way possible. I'm done with you but keep in mind to be ready for the dinner and make sure his daughter is having a good time." Mrs. Blossom said in a cold tone. That women seemed to care only about herself.

"But-" Cheryl tried to resist.

"Shut up! I don't wanna hear it!" Mrs. Blossom interrupted Cheryl and got out of the room shutting the door so loud that it seemed like it was going to break.

Laying in bed Cheryl was alone with her thoughts. The question she was asking on and on was; Why would her mother care for a total stranger more than she cared for her own daughter? That made Cheryl cry every time she thought about it. She was alone in the world and no one seemed to care. The only person Cheryl was more or less close with was her cousin Betty and her cousin's best friend Veronica. However Cheryl couldn't open up to any of them. There was no person in the whole world she could call hers. Most of the time she felt like she was third wheeling. Betty and Veronica were best friends. They had their inside jokes, weird phrases and crazy stories. However Cheryl liked them because with them she wasn't feeling lonely for a few hours. At least once a week Cheryl and Veronica had a night out and usually Cheryl got really drunk so Veronica carried her home.

Cheryl wanted to talk to someone so she texted Veronica. It was 3 AM but surprisingly Veronica answered immediately.

Cheryl🍒 "Hey, you up?'

Veronica 💎"Yup. What's up?"

Cheryl🍒"Nothing. I wanna get drunk LOL. You in?"

Veronica 💎"Of course. Someone needs to carry you home🤣🤣"

Cheryl🍒"UGH😑 see ya then. Be here at 6."

Cheryl🍒"Night"

Veronica 💎"Night❤️️"

Cheryl could finally rest. She leaned her head on the pillow and closed her eyes. She was excited to meet Veronica. A small smile came to her lips and she fell asleep.

Next morning

It was a new day. Cheryl got up and left for her morning jog. When Cheryl entered the house she saw her mother getting ready for the dinner. The dinner was tomorrow evening but her mother was already going crazy.  She was talking to Mr. Bradford about the menu and making sure that Mrs. Miller had washed the curtains. Cheryl was sweaty and didn't want to talk to her mother so she quickly headed to her room. After having a quick shower she fixed her hair and picked her outfit. Veronica had arrived to pick Cheryl up.  As they were driving to the bar Veronica noticed that something was wrong with Cheryl.

"Hey, Cher. What's wrong?"

"Uh nothing... Its just my mother. One of her business partners is coming over for a dinner with his daughter. His daughter is going to stay in my house for 2 months or even more!! She's even coming to our school!" Cheryl tried to say in a careless tone but she rose her voice while saying the last sentence.

"What if she's really beautiful. Maybe she's your type. This is a good opportunity for you to get a girlfriend. What's her name one more time?" Veronica giggled while she was trying to tease Cheryl.

"Very funny, Ronnie. It's not like I care what her name is. I don't want her to come anyway. It just seems like my mother cares about a total stranger more than she cares about me."

"Oh god, Cher it sounds like you are afraid of concurrency. I am pretty sure she will be amazing but you are the HBIC of the school and our town overall. No one can change that so relax its gonna be fine. Will you at least let us see her? When is she coming?"

"Tomorrow evening and you serious? You really think that Topaz girl can scare me?!"

"Wow! You said you don't know her name. Blossom and Topaz. I think it sounds perfect!" Veronica said teasingly.

"That surname is just kind of unique and sounds nice so I remember it, it has nothing to do with that girl. Can we just stop talking about her. I wanna have a good time not talk about stranger I already hate." Cheryl was already annoyed of this conversation. Deep down inside she was a bit excited to see that girl but only because she was tired of being alone in that huge house of nightmares.

"Fine. Get out of the car already. The boys are waiting for us." Veronica said as they arrived to the bar. Girls entered the bar and joined their friends. They had a good time. As always Cheryl got drunk so Veronica gave her a dropped her off in Thistlehouse. She made sure Cheryl is sleeping and drove away from that spooky Blossom mansion. Veronica was excited about meeting that Topaz girl. She felt that Toni is going to be nice.
