"It's dinner time," Muskaan announced. Everyone gathered in the dining hall and sat on the chairs.
"Wow dum biriyani, Yes! Love of my life." Shivanshi said clapping in excitement.
"Food looks delicious", Sangeeta commented after inhaling the smell of food, circling her tummy.
"Let's dig in ", Angel insisted.
"Wait?" Muskaan shouted centring the attention of each of them.
"What are we waiting for?" Angel asked biting her spoon as she was hungry.
"Shahenaz is not here," Muskaan replied after checking the room.
"Where is she? That dumbo never comes on time." Angel groaned. e
"I'll call her." Amanat took out her phone from her pocket.
"It's switch off."
"Don't worry just give me some time
I'll go and get her."Shivanshi said with a boxy smile and leave the hall.

Why the dining hall and hotel are so far away from each other? It took me seven minutes to walk back to the hotel.
As I was about to step into the hotel entrance I paused in my way when I saw Shahenaz in the garden walking in the direction of the forest.
"Why is she going to the forest?" I mumbled. She was at a distance from me.
"Shahenaz? Shahenaz?" I shouted out her name numerous times but she didn't answer as if she was deaf or maybe was not able to hear me or perhaps not wanted to hear me.
Weird.
I quickly ran in her direction screaming her name. The path at my feet fades as it leads into the darkness of the woods.
The night was dark and cold. The trees in the forest were bladder -brown. The forest was old and antiquated.
The cobwebs hanging from the old branches cross my path, dewy leaves sliding across my skin as I succeed.
The night became colder than it seems it became difficult to see due to fog.
Shahenaz carried on walking deep into the woods. Strangely her speed increased with time.
Where the hell is she going?
"Shahenaz?" I shouted and ran to cope up with her long legs.
I grunt and stumbled when pain strikes my feet as I tripped on a bumpy root.
That's when I lost her trail.
I ended up being lost in the woods. I bit my tongue with nervousness and the metallic taste of blood filled my mouth.
I stood and limb heavily as I walk. After roaming the forest for a while I finally found her.
I quickly made my way towards her to make sure this time I won't lose her.
"Stop" I placed my hand on her shoulder to stop her and stood behind her still catching up my breath.
Shahenaz stopped some inches away her back was facing me.
"What the hell Shahenaz? Are you deaf and what are you doing here in the woods you know it's dangerous at night?"
"Speak something! You-
"I'm sorry, I just heard some strange voices coming from the forest so I just came to check it."
"It must be the animals".Shivanshi explained.
"Now let's go everyone's waiting for you."
Shahenaz nodded and lead the path.
After a few minutes of walking, I found the way different from where we came.
"I think this isn't the right way it's different from before."
"This is a short cut Muskaan told me about it". Shahenaz said.
But-"I got interrupted in between by a call from Muskaan.
"Everyone must be worried because of us", I uttered.
"Hello! Shivanshi where are you?
We all have been waiting for you. What took you so long?
Are you okay?" Muskaan bombarded me with questions. Her voice hinting that she's worried and tensed."Hey! calm down. I'm perfectly fine."
"It's all because of Shahenaz, it's her fault because of her we are late. She"-as I was about to speak next but there was some disturbance which came from their side.
After few seconds someone spoke.
"Hey, monkey! How this is because of me?
Huh?
"Speak! what happened now?" Cat took your tongue".Shahenaz said on the phone call.
My Heart slamming against my ribs.
I gulped the air, trying to slow my breathing."S-h-a-h-e-n-a-z y-you, t-then w-who i-is h-here", I stuttered pointing my finger towards the person in front of me.
"Stop babbling and excusing, come fast or else I'll eat your favourite dum biriyani," Shahenaz said giggling.
