Chapter 14

Muskaan's pov

I got tired after roaming around the hotel like an invisible ghost in whites and finally went upstairs to sleep as my eyes became heavy and my mind began to doze off.

I was in my dream sleeping peacefully until I heard a scream.

I thought that scream was just a part of my dream but after few moments.

I heard another scream louder than the previous one. It made me wide awake, I blinked several times to make my vision clear.

It completely took me off guard.

Immediately, I heard some knocks, tense voices and heavy footsteps outside my door.

I quickly stood up, sprinted towards the door and twisted the knob to open it.

"Is everything alright?" I asked Sangeeta who stood outside my door.

"Nope!Angel, sh-she! co-come with me."Sangeeta replied panting as if she ran quite a distance.

I slipped in my Nike slippers and made my way upstairs as fast as I could and encountered my friends outside her door.

"The door it's not opening. I think it got jammed." Amanat said while rattling the doorknob.

"Help me!" Angel's torn voice crashed in our ears.

"Angel? Angel? Are you alright?" I asked banging the door.

We tried to open it numerous times but disappointment punched our faces quite hard.

"Sangeeta just go to the reception and bring the spare key."

She nodded in agreement and hurriedly ran downstairs.

"What the hell is going on? Damn fricking door ", Amanat cussed while kicking the door in frustration.

"Angel? Can you hear me? Angel?" I shouted.

Meanwhile, Sangeeta called and said "there's no one in reception and the keys are not here. "

I paused for a second then said" fine, then do one thing find that old man or anyone working here and give me a call".

"What now?" Shahenaz asked.

We heard the noise of glass shattering and things falling on the floor.

"I think we have to break it."I strongly suggested it.

This was our only chance to get in. And I can't lose it at any cost.

Amanat was about to protest but with every passing second,the time was slipping through our hands so she supported my idea while Vanita and Shahenaz joined.

We tried to push it, kick and banged with as much force we could and finally broke into the room.

First thing we saw was a flower vase laid on the floor broken into thousands glittering pieces with crumbled wet blanket and other things around the room.The room looked like a complete mess.

I saw Angel sitting in the pitch black dark corner of the room sweating, panting and trembling like a leaf, her eyes filled with tears and terror.

"Oh god!"Angel",I gasped.

Quickly, we lift her up from the floor and placed on her bed. Meanwhile, I hugged her tightly to make her feel better and warmer.

"It's okay, everything's fine. We are here now." I patted her head and circled her back as she cried.

"Drink some water." Shahenaz handed a glass of water. She gulped it.

"Just tell us what's going on?" Amanat said out of concern.

Meanwhile, Sangeeta arrived and made her way towards us. She stood close to the bed. After taking a glance of Angel she asked ,"Why did you screamed Angel? What happened?"

For a while, Angel hesitated to speak but replied afterwards. "I-I j-just saw her."

"Who?" Vanita asked being confused.

"A ghost" Angel said her face exposing a frightened look.

"Not again! " Shahenaz groaned.

"You both planned this right? Vanita and you. Angel is this a type of joke or prank just like Vanita played before. If, then it's so lame. And I didn't expected this from you. " She said crossing her arms while an annoyed look covering her face.

"I agree", Lavanya nodded her head while entering the room.

I was about to ask Lav that where the hell has she been as she didn't show up on time, but paused when my sister fiercely roared.

"Both of you shut your damn mouth just let her speak first." Amanat raised her voice loud and clear. I have never seen her this angry and tense before.

"Angel, sweety just tell us what on earth just happened here? The person you saw who was she? " In a split second, her voice became calm and softer when she spoke to her.

"W-We ha-have to leave this place now please,sh-she'll kill us all, I-I saw her, h-her eyes, Sh-She choked me and-", Angel stood up from her bed freaking out. She stutter while speaking and began crying again ,her chest raising and flatting .

We all stood there with questioning minds and confusion mixed with tension and worry.

"Angel calm down and tell us what you saw?" Shahenaz asked but this time with a bit politeness in her voice as she was also worried about her because we all know she's not playing around.

There is something going on.
