"I'm going to stretch and practice in one of the practice rooms," Alex said.
Alex walked out of the room and into one of the training rooms.
Alex began to stretch and practice punching with a punching bag. Shaun walked into the room and leaned on the doorway watching Alex.
"Sorry Doc," he muttered quietly.
Then, he walked into the room and asked, "Want a sparring partner?"
Alex didn't look up but said, "Permission to beat you up? I'll say yes anyday!"
"Good," Shaun said, "My ego could use a boost."
Alex looked at Shaun and her eyes narrowed.
Shaun slipped into a fighting stance and beckoned Alex forward. Alex stepped forward and slipped into her own fighting stance. The two watched each other for a moment then Alex's leg shot out towards Shaun's chest. Shaun grabbed Alex's leg and twisted it to the right. Alex used the momentum of Shaun turning her body to the right to slam her other leg over Shaun's head. Shaun stumbled and dropped Alex's leg.
Alex didn't give Shaun anytime to recover. She charged forward and began raining blows down on Shaun. Shaun tried to block her, but Alex was letting out all her anger, frustration, and fear. So he tried what had always worked before. He attempted to hold her down until she calmed, but he couldn't get her down. Shaun regretted not following Michael's advice.
He rolled out of the way of Alex's next blow and ran towards the door.
"Coward!" Alex yelled, "Come back here and finish what you started!"
"Thanks for the offer", Shaun shouted running out into the hall, "But I'd rather survive!"
Alex charged through the halls after Shaun.
Usually when dealing with Shaun Alex calmed down faster, but this time that was not the case.
"Michael," Shaun shouted, "I'm really sorry. I'll suffer whatever wrath you have for me if you just save me!!"
Shaun and Alex ran through the halls for a while, and Shaun was beginning to wish he had worked out more.
Shaun ran down one last hallway and found himself at a locked door.
He turned and faced Alex.
"You win, I lose," he said, raising his hands.
Alex charged at him and Shaun ducked. At that moment Michael came up behind her and swiftly stabbed a needle into her shoulder.
Alex slumped to the floor.
Michael glared at Shaun, "I warned you."
Shaun smiled sheepishly, "Sorry."
"Marco," Michael called, "Take Alex to the medical bay. I'm going to deal with Shaun."
"Sure," Marco said, "Just don't kill him okay?"
"No promises," Michael said glaring at Shaun.
"Good luck." Marco said over his shoulder, "Don't die."
Shaun stood up and lowered his head.
"Michael," Shaun began.
"Don't ... just don't Shaun. I told you not to bother Alex and what do you do? You bother her." Michael said, "This is not how our team works!"
"Michael," Shaun tried again.
Suddenly, Elise's voice came over the radio, "Guys everyone to the control center now! We have a trio of warships who just triangulated around us!"
