Here's the thing, I hate fireworks.
Oo, ang ganda nilang tignan. Yung lights, yung colors, yung nabubuong forms or shape of some sort sa sky. Okay, I appreciate that.
Pero there's a lot of things I don't like when it comes to fireworks. First, yung ingay. As in sobrang ingay. Tuwing bagong taon nalang yata, umiiyak ang ear drums ko sa lakas ng mga paputok na naririnig ko. Even the dogs (even though I am not a dog lover) can testify! Hey, we're all victims here! Another thing, hindi lang delikado sa tenga, pati na rin sa mga body parts! Nako! Hindi safe! I love my hands, I love my eyes, and I wont risk them for those stupid lights. Ang mahal na nga ng paputok, pero mind you, mas mahal ang magpagamot. Plus, badtrip din na bawat bahay nagpapaputok. Hindi man lang naisip yung naco-contribute nito sa pollution di ba? How insensitive.
So yes, I loathe fireworks.
Pero kahit ganoon, ang hilig pa rin nina Papi na magpaputok. Dumadayo pang Bulacan tss asar, Kaya heto ako, ugali nang magkulong sa kwarto during New Year's Eve. (Well at least hanggang 12:30) Hindi naman soundproof ang kwarto ko, pero at least, nababawasan na yung ingay.
At para hindi ko naman masyadong maramdaman na lonely ako, nakaugalian ko nang magsend ng GMs to my close friends and relatives. Medyo jeje pero it's a good way to tell your friends that you value them and to remind them how grateful I am to have them.
I sent them a message that says, "Thank you for sticking with me this year. I hope you'll be with me next year. I wish you have a a wonderful year ahead." Grabe, cliche, cheesy stuff pero, whatever.
