Dangerous Path

"W-what?"

He showed his perfectly aligned teeth along with his panty-dropping boyish smile. Hindi ko tuloy alam kung pinagtri-tripan ako nito or nakabingit na buhay ko dahil sa pagkausap ko sa kanya... kung siya nga ang Prince.

Hindi kasi talaga mukha!

I mean, sure, he is good-looking guy but the way he carry himself is far from being a Prince! If he is, dapat pino siya kumilos at maginoo. But this guy... he is a total opposite.

He laughed. Not a simple chuckle. He freaking laughed while I remained standing, gaping at him.

How could someone so handsome have such a laughter?

"I know I don't look like one but I am, Miss Designer," he said after his laugh died down. "Izaac Archirale Evans at your service," he stated with a hint of smile before bowing his head.

"A-am I going to be punished?" I stuttered.

He looked at me and pursued his lips. Ni hindi ko magawang makaalis sa pwesto ko nang lumapit siya sa takot kong maparusahan. I don't want to kneel on floor with grains on it.

Dahil matangkad siya, yumukod siya para tignan ang mata ko. Rules, Arlaise! You can't look at him in the eyes! But... but his eyes are making me to do otherwise.

I remained looking at him. His eyes are surveying my face, I can feel every bit of gaze. I clenched my fist and begged my messed up inside to calm down.

"Y-your Highness?" One of the Attendants stood in front of me.

And that made the Prince postured himself like a Prince. "In a bit," he said while staring at me.

"I understand, Your Highness," she said before closing the door.

"Don't be like them." I looked at him in confusion when he said that. "Just treat me like how you did before I introduced myself," he clarified.

"That would be impossible, Your Highness. Because you see -," my words were cut off when leaned down once again.

"Then make it possible. That's an order," he said and winked.

He left in a hurry after that interaction while I, released that breath I was holding the whole time I was facing the Prince of the East Clan.

"What the fuck just happened, Arlaise Dawn Miranda?" I whispered.

"I should treat him like before? Anong kalokohan iyon? That was beyond impossible!"

Inis kong hinahawi ang mga damit na nadadaanan ko. I'm trying to familiarize myself with the clothing inside this room para kapag may event nanaman, hindi na ako mahihirapan maghanap kasi alam ko na kung saan ko ito makikita.

"Make it possible? Huh!" Hindi ko tuloy mapigilan ang mapairap sa inis.

He is utterly handsome, I'm not gonna deny that because it is very palpable. And he is proud of his looks dahil na hindi siya umiwas ng tingin nang napatitig ako sa kaniya.

He is good looking and he knows it.

"Yabang. Yabang. Yabang." I muttered and was about to leave the room when I stopped.

My breathing hitched. 

First Prince was staring at me with his arms crossed. But there is a hint of a smirk on his face. Halatang kanina pa siya nandito sa likod ko at di ko man lang naramdaman and presenisya niya. 

Treat him like a normal person? Fine.

I stepped forward towards him. Matangkad siya kaya mejo nakatingala ako. He remained in his position, waiting for my move. 

"Eavesdropping is not nice, Your Highness," I said in a taunting voice.

His smirk widened. "Do you have proof that I did?"

Wala. But I'm too prideful to admit that. I just concluded that he is because of his smirk.

"Arlaise Dawn Miranda... you are accusing the Prince of East Clan. My... you could be punished for that," he said.

I smiled at me. A sarcastic smile at that. "Punish me then, Your Highness."

"Noted," he said which made me blink a few times. "Lady Olivia, are you there?"

"Yes, Your Highness," Lady Olivia's voice from outside. 

He remained looking at me, hindi nagsasalita. Habang ako, hindi ko na alam ang gagawin ko. Should I apologize for my actions? But it was his request! Or I'm being too much? Pakiramdam ba niya hindi ko na siya nirerespeto kahit na ang totoo ay pilit na pilit ang turing ko sa kaniya? 

"Can you get me my schedule of events for the whole month?" He said after staring at me for few seconds kaya nakahinga ako nang maluwag.

"I'll get it right away and bring it -" 

"No, bring it to my chamber. I'll go there now," he said with his eyes set on me.

"O-of course," Lady Olivia said and we both heard footsteps, retreating.

Doon lang ako naglakas loob bumuga ng hininga, pakiramdam ko talaga hindi ako tatagal dito kung palaging ganito ang eksena naming dalawa! Hindi naman niya ako main attendant pero ako pa ang napagdiskitahan nito porket bago ako.

"You see, I can turn the tables to my favor anytime I want to, Arlaise." Panimula niya habang naglalakad sa akin papalapit.

I didn't move an inch. Kapag umatras ako, malamang sa malamang ay mas lalo siyang lalapit sa akin. Baka isipin pa niya na takot ako... oo nga, takot ako pero hindi na niya kailangan malaman iyon.

He smirked when he noticed I'm not doing his bidding. "Keep still, Arlaise," he said before walking towards me in a snap.

He leaned down on me, I can feel his breathing. Halos gahibla na lang ang agwat namin pero hindi parin ako umaatras. 

Ginusto ko ba ito? Hindi.

Pero ayaw kong ipakita sa kaniya na kaya niya akong paglaruan ng ganito. I am part of the East Clan but it doesn't mean I am his play toy. Sa simula lang siya ganito dahil bagong mukha ako pero magsasawa din siyang pagtripan ako. Sigurado iyon.

Hindi naman bago ang ganito. Sa school pa lang namin, kapag may bago akong classmate at nakita ako, nagkakagusto agad. Pero kapag hindi ko naman pinapansin at pinagbibigyan, kusa din naman tumitigil. Ang dahilan, hindi naman daw ako bumibigay.

I'm just seventeen years old for godness' sake! Sino bang magseseryoso sa panahon na ito? Puro laro at panloloko lang naman ang gagawin nila samantalang ako iisipin na seryoso ang lahat? Hindi na bale maiwan magisa basta hindi lang mapaglaruan.

"I'll see you at the school, Arlaise." He whispered and left me alone.

Doon pa lang ako nakahinga ng maluwag. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang gusto niyang iparating sa mga ginagawa niya pero hindi magpapatalo. Dahil una at huli, magkaiba kami.

He is a Prince while I'm just mere servant. Our worlds are too apart. Mahirap abutin ang kaniya at hindi rin naman siya pwede pumunta sa mundo ko. We are just so different.

I wish I'm wrong with my speculation na talagang mahilig lang siyang mangtrip at magbiro. I really really really hope so. Because I know myself, that once I fall, it would take a decade to move forward.

And with him in the equation? I bet it will be long journey to move on.

He is handsome, it's given lalo na sa genes niya. That thick eyebrows, grey eyes that will make you drawn no matte what you do, and the long eyelashes that gives his eyes a very expressive emotion. And yes, his smirk that I loathe. 

Arlaise Dawn Miranda... what a dangerous path you are walking into.
