I hurriedly went to the door and opened it. Halos hindi ko na mapansin ang paligid dahil sa pagmamadali. Just what was Izaac thinking?! I know that it was his decision but sana naman pinagisipan niya muna iyon nang mabuti!

"Arlaise Dawn Miranda De Guzman," I stopped moving upon hearing my name. Nanggaling sa likod ko ang boses kaya tumingin ako doon. And to my surprise, it was the King's right hand who called me. 

My lips parted in confusion. What... what are they doing in here? Then the car door opened, revealing the Queen in her puff sleeves long black dress. Her face is not that visible because of the hair dress that covers her face. An attendant immediately followed her to place an umbrella above her like the King.

"Y-Your Majesty..." I bowed down my head as a sign of respect. 

"Where do you think you're going?" The Queen asked as she neared towards me.

"Y-your Majesty..." I stuttered. "I-I need to talk to Izaac," I said and looked at her in defiance. "He can't just denounce his position, Your Majesty! He should not do that..."

"And why do you say so, Arlaise Dawn Miranda?"

I blinked. "Because... because it was... it was his identity..." I mumbled mindlessly. Hindi ko alam ang idadahilan sa kaniya. All I know is that Izaac shouldn't let go of something precious to him. Kahit naman hindi niya sabihin alam ko kung gaano niya pinahahalagan ang posisyon niyang iyon. 

The Queen gracefully chuckled. "Is that it? Iyon lang?" The sarcastic tone in her voice is very evident. 

"My Queen... why don't we talk inside? People are starting to get curious and Izaac won't like the spotlight," the King said after placing his hand on the Queen's back. "Can we, Arlaise?" Mahinahon niyang tanong sa akin.

I nodded several times before leading them inside. I thought the entourage will also enter but they stayed outside. I took a deep breath before following them inside.

Queen Athena is looking around while seated while King Archirale remained standing on the side of the Queen. I saw my Mama placing a tray of drinks in the table kahit na alam naman niyang hindi iyon pwede inumin dahil wala ang taga-tikim ppara sa kanila.

When my Mama looked up, Queen Athen looked shocked. "Is... is that you, Renee? And you're... you're Arlaise mother?"

My view can only see Mama's expression kaya nakita ko ang pagngiti niya baka yumukod. "You're right, Your Majesty. I am her mother."

"Does he know that you're in the capital?" Queen Athena asked which made me conclude that she knows about Mama's history. 

Mama nodded. "He already visited, Your Majesty."

Queen chuckled and looked up to the King, smiling. King Archirale smiled at her and combed her hair while looking at her lovingly. I guess, only the King can bring out the loving side of the Queen. Because every time I look at her, her face is always stoic and serious. But when she's with the King, she looked... comfortable. 

"Of course, it's Stefan. The ever serious Stefan Limuel," Queen Athena commented with a smile.

Then the King crouched and whispered to her ear. That made her looked at my direction and said, "Arlaise, what are you doing there? Come and sit with us. Don't look so scared, I'm not gonna eat you alive."

I smiled and went to the solo seater adjacent to her place. She looked at me, gone with her intimidating aura. "I like the color combination of your abode, warm and welcoming. And look at the little handprints..."
