"Yeonjun-hyung?" Kai suddenly spoke up when he spotted his teammate standing behind the window of his classroom door. BigHit Highschool senior class A,.
Yeonjun stared at him anxiously and put his finger on front of his lips to tell him to be quiet. But of course it was too late. His classmates have shifted their attention to the window where Yeonjun was standing, amazed that they were seeing THE Choi Yeonjun right outside of their class. He turned around and waited somewhere outside the class but out of sight. Damn am I that famous? Or do they think I look like a burglar with this bucket hat on? Yeonjun laughed at his own thoughts. Then the school bell rang and all the students began flooding out of their classrooms. Yeonjun stood outside like a ghost, waiting for his baby brother to come outside.
"Hyungie? What's wrong?" Kai asked him when he got out and they started walking down the stairs.
"Remember the SM Cup that Hitman Bang nim signed us up for?" Yeonjun whispered through his mask.
"Eung?"
"We're moving out of our usual court to train professionally with our own opponents."
"Huh?" Kai had every right to be brain-dead after a long period of history.
"Remember ITZY? Won Rookie Of The Year with us last year. They're also in for the game. We'll be practicing with those girls in their court starting from today."
"But if we play with the same opponent all the time, won't we be too accustomed to their strategies and be stiff with other groups?"
"I question Hitman Bang nim and his decisions sometimes, but they're extremely good players too so we can't exactly underestimate them either."
"Are we going straight to JYP Building?" Hueningkai noticed that his teammate was walking him to a bus stop.
"Yeah, your stuff is with Taeyhun and they're all waiting so let's hurry." Then the two stepped inside a bus.
...
"Yuna, are you serious? Practice starts in fifteen minutes and we don't want to look bad in front of our competitors!" Lia hissed from outside the boba shop in the ground floor of the mall that Yuna always went to after school.
"Lia-eonnie, why can't you relax? I've already changed into my clothes so all we have to do is run to the court," Yuna replied coolly, zipping up her wallet and taking the cup of boba from the cashier with a sweet smile.
"It takes fifteen minutes to go to the court by car, Yuna."
"Too bad you weren't born with long legs like me. I could run there and be ready one minute early so goodbye Lia-eonnie."
Yuna did leave Lia. And Lia didn't even want to try anymore so she just hailed a cab outside the front door of the building. Why didn't Yuna think of that before and forget exactly how smart her teammate was? Sipping on her boba milk tea occasionally to boost her fuel, and if you do know how clumsy that one lady was, she choked on one of the pearls...
But you need to know too, that that one lady is tough as hell so she gulped it down, whichever pipe it decided to sink into and continued to run. Meanwhile, Lia's taxi passed her leisurely. But then it stopped for Lia to roll the window down, pop her mocking head out of it and stick her tongue out at Yuna before going back on track. Yuna just gaped at that other lady and let her boba spill all over the sidewalk through the straw due to her extra clumsiness. Eonnie better watch out.
...
The two teams made it on time, and there, at 5pm sharp, they were standing in a straight line facing each other, with an SM coach in between them. Fusion of a few companies working together only to take each other down.
