we talked for a little longer, until the clock hit 5:30am. we were talking about our memories, our best and worst moments together. luckily there weren't that much worse ones.

after we closed our windows, jeno waved one last time and disappeared. my person just started to be in deep thoughts again.

okay just to clarify that, i did not forget our anniversary. it was just so early,, this year i got him a matching hoodie, and a new pair of ear phones. about a month ago we went shopping together with jaemin, and jeno said he really wanted this hoodie.

it was a light blue one, and a very good piece to style with. jaemin immediately snorted we should match them, since i admitted the hoddie was GORGEOUS. jeno said "that's it !!" and looked at the price.

🤡 that shit was expensive. jaemin looked like he regretted his words, being salty for the rest of the day. but i bought this hoodie for our anniversary, and i am sO HAPPY with that. it's so fluffy and soft on the inside... siGh.

i will give it to him tomorrow before school.

since it was still early, i decided to pack his hoodie as quiet as i can in wrapping paper. i put the blue package (it's his favorite color 🥺) and the headphones into a bigger box out of cardboard. a week ago, when i was shopping for the hoodies, i've seen a new chocolate flavor by his favorite brand. it was a mint chocolate, and since he loves this i bought him nine. i also packed a lot of mint bonbons and other minty stuff into a box, together with a cute gift card i've drawn myself.

i closed the box and placed a huge ass blue bow on it, leaving me satisfied with my present.

soon my alarm went on and i got ready. i woke up my brother and cleaned my teeth. after that my mother got up and dressed my brother for school.

"mum i will be out early today" i told her while taking on the uniform.

"alright!" she said and continued with dressing up my brother.

"why do you leave early?" my brother asked.

"yeongsu-ya, i have to meet jeno."

he smiled sheepishly and i started to put on my make up. a little glitter here, and some light eyeliner there, and i was finished. i left the house at 7am, only fifteen minutes earlier than usual. with the box in my hand and my bag over the shoulder i ran to jeno's house and knocked.

looks like he's been waiting for me, since he was already dressed and finished to go off to school.

he smiled and chuckled at my actions. "why are you so excited nut head?" he said, making me even more excited to see his reaction.

i just answered "owh i don't slime ball" and pulled him out.

"what's with that box? is it a school project again?" jeno asked and i AGAIN rolled my eyes. "it's for you, dumb ass."

"why do you give me a present out of nothing?" he asked on teasingly. this is my punishment, i see.

"okay if you don't want it i bring it back alright ??"

"okay okay, i'll stop that. but first i want to give you mine, okay?"

jeno is literally THE BEST at finding presents. i wondered what he got for me this year, but he told me to close my eyes and turn around.

i did so, and jeno held up my hair. he placed something around my neck, something cold. i let go of my hair and i turned around to face him again.

"no way did you-" he shushed and said "look."

i had to blink twice.

"is that- is that?"

it was a silver necklace with the most beautiful charm i've ever seen. a moon and a star. i cOuLd cRy honestly-

"omg jeno how did you- what did you- tHANK YOU !!" i stormed to hug him as tight as i could. a small tear escaped the corner of my eye.

jeno laughed, amused by my sudden reaction. "why i are you crying??" "i'm SO HAPPY!!" i shouted at him. "it's such a good present. thank you, jeno, really."

i smiled at him, and he returned it with his famous eye smile gummy smile.

"now mine!!" i passed him the box i decorated earlier. "i'm worried, a little" he said.

i furrowed my brows in confusion. "why would you be worried?" i asked, clearly not getting an idea.

"maybe it's stuffed with newspaper again like last year..."

"what nO it's in there!! open it!"

he did so and a huge smile appeared on his face. he first saw the amount of mint chocolate by his favorite brand. and then he lost it. "oh my god is this the one i wanted so badly??" i nodded happily.

his reaction was gold worth. he smiled and jumped and everything together. i was happy, i mean really happy. jeno really loved the hoodie. his eyes sparkled as i told him i got for myself too.

he shortly went in their house and stored everything in his room. he took out the new earphones he got and placed them in his bag. then jeno suddenly saw something on his desk that he left earlier.

he came out with a white paper in his right hand. "i forgot something!" he handed me the paper. "it's a letter for you, suji." i smiled again. "thanks tall ass! i will read it after school, okay?"

jeno nodded in response and we started walking to school. soon jaemin joined us.

"oUh what's with that make up, suji?" he teased me as soon as we reached him.

"shut it jaemin" i told him, but he just replied: "hey, you should wear it more often."

i shot a glance at him and looked over to jeno.

"wHAt?"

"it looks pretty on you. it gives a cute shimmer to your face."
