Pilgrim was a small town that was close to the east coast of the USA, there is a place generally overlooked by the government, as it was a small city compared to its neighbors. However, in the last month, something had happened that completely changed the history of that place, news roamed the country, telling what had happened there, "the case of the demolished mountain", the "almost extinction of the faithful". The case had many titles and many versions, however, there was one person who witnessed all that, and although the repercussions of the subject created many rumors, Evelline knew the truth about that day. After all that happened, Evelline decides that it was time to try to live life normally, after all, she had traveled to the city Pilgrim because she was just looking for clarification, to speed up her studies, since there being a smaller and quieter city, it was also the location of your grandmother's grave.
The young woman was in her room, it was a really sunny day outside, you could see the sunlight streaming through the curtains, she was trying to sleep, she couldn't stop searching for news about what had happened.
Evelline had just turned 23, but she was already an extremely smart girl for her age, she always loved to read and a good cup of coffee on rainy days.
After seeing that there was no more interesting news, she drops her tablet in a corner and leans her back against the wall, still sitting on the bed, and she just reflects on what to do next.
She used to always walk around at home, since she lived alone in an apartment, which was amazing for those who listened, since she was still too young for such a responsibility, but she was only there because her family paid all the costs of the apartment for her while she was studying at Pilgrim.
While residing in Pilgrim, Evelline had no time for anything else but to focus on her studies and dedicate herself to her career as a military doctor, which she so longed for, but that did not stop her from escaping once in a while and visiting the tomb of your grandmother. But in the climate that the city was in after all that happened, it was very difficult for anyone to be able to concentrate on anything. As much as the girl was responsible and promising, it was still hard to believe that she lived it all live, and it caused a strong emotion every time she stopped to think about it.
She had been sitting there for a long time, reflecting, when she realized that she had spent a good 3 hours, and it was getting dark, so she gets up and goes to her kitchen, to prepare a calming tea, to try to slow down the rhythms of her thoughts and able to study, or if she could at least sleep.
She takes out her cell phone, and for an instant thinks about calling Ethan, but she gives up, she remembers that she had told him before that she would leave her friend alone for a while, as she would concentrate on her studies. The last time she saw him in person was at his birthday party, about 1 month ago, she drops her cell phone in a corner and sinks on the couch, it was strange, but Evelline was very nervous when thinking about talking to him, not out of fear, but she felt a chill in her belly, something she had never felt before, not because she thought of talking to a person, but because she was a friend of hers.
And she looks at her cell phone screen, and sees that her face was slightly flushed, so she immediately turns the cell phone screen down.
