The park was in a place far from the city, in the middle of a forest, where no one else passed or remembered that it existed, there they were all, the Saviors, and Evelline knew that, she arrives at the park gate, landing discreetly.
She looks around, looking for a clue, someone suspicious walking around, but there was no one around. Then she tries to open the gate, but it is locked, Evelline reaches out towards the gate, using her powers to turn the lock, and it works.
Now Evelline was inside the park at last, and it was very different from what she remembered, there was snow covering most of the park, and the toys were all rusty and poorly cared for inside. Even the bumper car she liked to go with her grandmother when she was a kid, was no longer the same, there was only a stroller with a stuffed doll inside.
Coming out of nostalgia, she reminds herself:
- Okay Evelline, you're here to put an end to this story, don't be distracted by useless things.
And she starts walking through the park, all the time alert, trying to find something suspicious, but apparently everything was abandoned.
To expedite the search, she uses her powers to sense the presence of someone on the scene. And so she stays for a while, until she feels that there is a structure under the park, which was already expected, and the entrance was under the stage of the main circus, in the middle of the whole park, Evelline goes there, the weather is very tense, as if something is going to attack her at any moment, arriving at the circus, she sees a man standing at the door, and is already preparing for the attack, but the man sees her and says:
- Ah, Miss Armstrong! I must say it would be a pleasure to see you, but that would be a lie.
The man was slightly short, his clothes were black, and he wore a top hat and a cane.
Evelline was alert, and was slowly approaching:
- Who are you? Where's Guist?
The man straightens his hat and walks towards the girl.
- STAY AWAY, I WILL NOT ADVISE TWICE! - Evelline threatened him with her palms pointed at him.
And he obeyed, and stopped at the same place.
- Do you want to get to Master Guist? Come on, I'll take you to him.
And the man turned on his back, opening the circus entrance curtain.
- You first. - she ordered.
And so the man did, Evelline entered shortly afterwards.
The circus seemed to be smaller on the outside, but on the inside, it was so big that she got lost trying to look around.
- What you are looking for is there in the center. - said the little man, pointing to a stage that was in the center of the circus.
And the man hid his face inside the top hat, and disappeared from there, leaving only the top hat on the floor, Evelline was lost for a moment, until finally she saw him, the leader of the group, Guist, was standing on the stage and facing Evelline.
She flew until she reached the stage, now facing Guist.
- I believe you are Guist.
- Miss Armstrong, it is even more stunning looking in person, just like your grandmother used to be.
And a wooden stake came flying towards Guist, but it stopped near his chest.
- On other occasions, I might even applaud you, but thanks to your grandmother, that's impossible now. - he said, showing his severed hand to Evelline.
